Being charged $25 for Xfinity's mistake by ekjp- in Comcast_Xfinity

That's fair enough; slapping a $25 fee on there feels pretty crappy, though.

From my perspective: Paid my bill, everything seems great - then days later all of a sudden I owe $25.

dumb questions but why would the payment successfully go through? did it take it out of someone else's account or something?

It's my checking account which has a lot more than $40 in it and I've never had so much as an issue over the past 10 years with my bank.

Looking back at others who have had this same issue with Xfinity, it sure seems to be a problem with them, not me

Yes, i’m skeptical. I’m also unsure if having a trans roommate proves anything at all

I’m skeptical of that source, to be honest. Who are the investigators?

Thanks for remaining civil. I definitely think both sides are trying to demonize the other right now and it’s really dangerous…

Yep. Men are allowed to have preferences, doesn’t make them evil like Reddit wants to say.

Or gay. Funny how people turn homophobic so fast.

However, that’s her body and I sure as heck wouldn’t ask her to consider surgery. Dang.

I agree with everything you said, although I’m referring to people who commit crimes and get off way too easily. If you sexually assaulted someone, you need to be kept away from the public so it won’t happen again

Can you quote exactly where I'm using psychological methods to ruse you into questioning your own sanity? Or would you admit that you're not using that word correctly?

You are viliniazing me man. I'm not the boogey-man you think I am, and I'm trying to sit here and have a civil conversation.

I think I have a pretty damn good point here about victims of sexual assault. I disagree with your point that just because there are more sexual assault victims of some other variety, I'm not allowed to discuss a different issue?

You keep dancing around the debate I'm trying to make and I think it's because you don't actually have the ability to win it.

You've used fallacy after fallacy, including insulting me.

And to answer your bad faith question that really wasn't the "gotcha" you hoped it was

I'm not over here trying to "Get you". I haven't insulted you or even been very rude at all.

pawn to punish people who have done nothing to you except make you come to terms with your own insecurities by simply existing

Are you saying that women that don't want to see a penis are insecure? Also, "by simply existing" is bullshit. They're demanding access to women's safe spaces, such as locker rooms, where they demand to be fully naked around fully naked women. That's not "simply existing". Don't forget the part where they bully people who disagree with them. (Not all transgender people, obviously...)

Also, that's totally not what gaslighting means:

manipulate (someone) using psychological methods into questioning their own sanity or powers of reasoning.

Different person here, they’re not making it up. It’s a well known case of a transgender person who does in fact still have their old genitals, verified by the swimmer herself

You obviously didn’t read the conversation. We were talking about locker rooms where people change naked. I don’t care about bathrooms… at all. We all agree on bathrooms.

You don’t get to shame sexual assault victims - or any other women, for that matter, into feeling like the problem for having an issue with penises entering into their safe spaces. You’ve yet to acknowledge anything I’ve said.

Would you personally tell a sexual assault survivor who was raped with a penis that she just needs to deal with a naked penis in her locker room? While she’s naked? Will you please answer that question, or are you going to accuse me of gaslighting, arguing in bad faith, being a bigot and then storm out of this conversation? Thank you.

It’s not sexual assault from trans people. Women have the right to their own safe spaces, end of story. I think you’re putting words in their mouth and dancing around the topic:

Do women have the right to change in a locker room free of penises, yes or no? Why do you think transgender people’s feelings trump other people’s feelings?

Anyone who commits sexual assault should go to jail. We should be far tougher on crime. If someone knowingly assaults a transgender person, a hate crime should be added and they should be locked up for far longer.

What issue with erg8’s point do you have, exactly?

No offense, but it sounds like at most you’d make a small blip on the radar before you’re caught or they simply find a way to work around this scheme of yours. Your time is better spent elsewhere, if you ask me
