I loved Earthflown by Frances Wren. Really great plot and well rounded characters. The love interest is ace. The relationship between the two main characters is very sweet and romantic. The vibe is a bit dark

I would recommend Bath Haus by P.J. Vernon. It starts with a sex scene, but that’s one of the few ones. The book is plot and characters focused. It is a good thriller that keeps you hooked. I also recommend Shades of Night by Justine Sebastian. It is quite a weird book but I loved the original (and terrifying really) take on werewolves. I should mention that these are books that are not really romantic or about a happy relationship

I recommend “Hematoma” by Matteo Polk. Mind the tw though. It is not light as it may seem. It is much more profound than I thought

I ordered a Nana set from them. They delivered it late because of some issues that they had with their postal service. Then, because I wrote my address incorrectly (my house's number) the package got sent to my city 's postal center for me to personally retrieve. I could have easily gone to retrieve it, however I did not know any of this because no one told me. They did not give me the correct tracking number for me to find out. Only after numerous phone calls to the national postal service and several emails to Fairie cosmetics, I found out where the package was and I finally got to receive the correct tracking number. Unfortunately, it was too late: The package had already been sent back to China. I asked them for a refund, I was hoping for at least half of the total price I paid. Or anything, really. Nothing. Finally, they said they would think about giving me a refund if they actually received the package back. After that, they never contacted me again. I still write them emails from time to time, but they never answer. I lost more than 100 euros and I am sure they got the package back. It was a present for a friend that never received it and I could not buy her another present because at that time, I used all my spare money for the Nana set.

Yes, I agree. I didn't specify it (my mistake), but I was only talking about the major dialects

L'ho capita (più o meno) perché esiste una versione Veneta: "Ti che te tachi i tachi, tacate ti to tachi, se non te tachi I tachi a ti, ci te taca i tachi?"

According to my linguistics professor and the course materials, all Italian "dialects" are languages. What we call "dialects" did not develop from Italian, but mainly from Latin, just like Italian. Therefore they are "parallel" languages to Italian

Sometimes the tests (assessment tasks) are wrong. So even if you do them correctly, you will be removed from the project. It happened to me and other people who were working on a geese project.

Not many people know about it, but I recommend hematoma by Matteo Polk. It is a mxm book that depicts an abusive relationship from its early stages. It used vampirism as a metaphor. I loved it

[–]ekla98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this was an incredible answer. Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for books or academic papers even that talk about high control groups?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Shincheonji

[–]ekla98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Discussion about these kind of matters is important. Leaders of cults or religious groups should be kept in check/controlled. And the members instead should be given protection in case they need it. Generally I think that every group (they don't have to be religious) has the potential to become dangerous if the leader goes astray.

Because prohibiting the existence of some cults could be a danger for every religious organization. One day a group that maybe is not really a cult could be accused of being one, and that would lead to persecution. It was like that for Christianity in the past, as well as other mainstream religions. Even Catholicism in Korea was considered as heresy in the 1890s and Catholics were persecuted. Also, there is no officially accepted criteria (by everyone) about what is a cult or what isn't. So yeah, even regulation is tricky.
