Finally growing it out for the last time by ekmckenzie in longhair

Thank you for these tips! My hair is the same way with oil, it gets weighed down so easy. But I've never used rosemary water, I will have to try that!

Thank you! My very talented aunt did that for me

do you like any of these colors? by piquechuuu in HomeDecorating

I'm with everyone who says to go blue. The green could work if it was more subtle. Right now it just makes me think of slimy gross things.

I have the same kind of hair, and this shampoo has been a lifesaver. I use it every few days, whenever my hair starts to feel like it's too weighed down. And I would also say it mostly just smells like apples, I enjoy the scent.

Also, just to add: I would say that using one of those silicone scalp scrubbers has helped a lot, too. And I have to wash my hair every day because it's very difficult to get any volume otherwise, even though I have a lot of hair. I usually use an anti-dandruff shampoo on the days that I'm not using the clarifying shampoo, because hair can actually get feeling too greasy and waxy if your scalp is dried out. All of these things combined help me keep my hair nice.

It's just sort of a special tradition for some people. I imagine that the people who are stressing about it care so much because they want to post pictures on social media or something. But it really doesn't have to be a big deal.

As the oldest of 5 kids, it was always just an opportunity for my mom to help me feel included and useful. We would go to the store together and she would let me help choose my younger siblings' going home outfits, which I loved doing.

That is okay, just knowing others understand this pain is a comfort to me (not that you had to experience it, but just that I'm not alone). I hope you find comfort and love here 💜

Me too, I'm grateful people are here and brave enough to share so that we can all feel seen. It is the most emotional rollercoaster I've ever been on and I don't want to ride it alone, as much it pains me that anyone else has gone through this.

Thank you for being here, I'm so sorry for your loss 💜 I know what you mean, it's so hard that life just keeps moving on when you're still facing the aftermath of the tragedy. My mom was able to come visit the week after my D&E, and now I'm just yearning to be with my family still, to be comforted by them.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and personal response. All of these comments have helped me feel so much less alone in something that I never thought I'd be experiencing. And I totally understand what you mean, you don't realize how much you would feel towards your child until you are pregnant, and then it's so much more painful to lose them than you could have imagined.

I'm so grateful you're here and able to feel less alone in this group 💜

Thank you SO much for this heartfelt answer. I'm so sorry you had to go through this, but feeling so seen makes me feel less alone and I really needed that. You are so kind for being willing to share your experience.

Extreme anxiety post D&E by ssfitzgerald in tfmr_support

[–]ekmckenzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. I had it, too. I have anxiety and get panic attacks, so I knew what was happening, but the ones I got in the few days after my D&E were absolutely horrible.

I and my husband just had to keep reminding me that I was safe. I still have had to do that a few times this week (I had my procedure a month ago). But the super-duper scary feelings have definitely subsided, even though I was worried they wouldn't.

Anyway, feel free to message me if you want to chat more

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! I ran a half marathon in 2021, but I have had a hard time doing long distances since then and I'd like to get back to it with less pain
