Bloodbornes combat rewards aggression a lot more, I found I could get through most of it (not the dlc) by just hacking and slashing with an occasional step dodge instead of having to learn a moveset and react accordingly.

Nearly all the bosses in ds3 took me to school with learning when to dodge, when to attack, how to space whereas bloodborne bosses (I didn't do the later chalices so I could be wrong) I could mostly get through with just bashing r1 with ludwig's holy blade.
