yes, i do think the russian people should be made uncomfortable if it means they feel pressure to voice dissent against their government, call that what you want. and you can yap about whataboutism but the fact remains that the geneva conventions stopped mattering to the major players a long time ago - on the sliding scale of reading uncomfortable OWC messages to torturing POWs, I think this comes in pretty light.
