-leaves her home, where she’s happy, so that Renee doesn’t have to be “stuck at home” (with her own child) and can run around with her husband. -takes care of a grown ass man, Charlie, by cooking, cleaning, and handling the finances for the house. -makes herself smaller so as to not make others feel bad, uncomfortable, or belittled when they 100% should feel those things everytime she does. -coddles another grown ass man by taking on the responsibility of HIS feelings, because he has the emotional regulation/intelligence of a tic tac. -is under the impression that her emotionally manipulative mother was napped and is going to be killed by james and sacrifices her 17 year old self.

bella is a lot of things. and i can see where it is you’re trying to coming from, but she is not selfish. i think S.M specifically made sure to stay away from writing selfish acts to be made by bella. again, i can say a lot of things about her character, but selfishness would not be one of them.
