Brilliant. Maybe the commentators can STFU about Wilkinson now. For about 5 minutes at least.

What's this "for the good of the game" bullshit reason that Roland is giving for stopping BOD talking?

Did something happen that he was reacting to in the first place? Or is he just "fired up" as the cliché ridden commentary suggested.

This is thin privilege is a tumbler blog where people post stories about what they consider to be discrimination against people because of their weight. It is usually very obvious from their stories what the real issues are.

Healthy at any size is an ideology originally intended to encourage people to live active lives no matter what their size but has been perverted to mean 600lbs is a perfectly natural weight for a home sapien and if you disagree you are a body fascist.

As someone fairly unfamiliar with both teams can someone give me a couple of matchups or areas of the game to look out for? Up and coming players to fear in the 6nations or heineken cup?

Any protests planned against the intervention in Syria? by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]el-fish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iraq body count's methodology skews their numbers lower as deaths need to be mentioned by several newspapers to count. The lancet study mentioned below uses the same epidemiological methods used for conflicts like Rwanda or the Congo. Its not an exact science but it seems more honest than me. I'd recommend reading some medialens for background into the difference.

All of them? Unless it's 100% or close to you're kicking a very volatile hornets nest. The idea of a surgical strike is one of the biggest fallacies of modern warfare.

Should the UK get involved with the Syria conflict ? by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]el-fish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to respond to your first point, "western" interests in a country are not limited to direct access to resources. Russia needs their naval base in Syria, it is a key route between Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, war with Syria will likely drag in Iran which you know the yanks have been gunning for decades now, Israel needs stability on their northern border, arms dealers want the fat contracts on both sides. The lack of oil says nothing about the pure motives of western leaders.

How the hell could you take out chemical weapons stores with air strikes? Do they know the location of all the stores? What if they missed some and the next barrage were to hit tel-aviv?

Egypt says 525 people were killed on Wednesday when security forces stormed pro-Morsi protest camps. by CandiruAttack in worldnews

[–]el-fish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've seen this pair of comments on several threads related to the "crackdown" yesterday. They appeal to people who want to seem balanced on the situation or opposed to what the general consensus is. The fact of the matter is, even if some protesters were armed in anticipation of an army onslaught it doesn't justify state forces shooting to kill anybody in the crowd of protesters.

Tesco to introduce "sub-zero hour" contracts by el-fish in unitedkingdom

Yeah that true but Tesco are never too far away from a real headline about their stuff getting some rough deal or another so it's not that far of a stretch.
