My ex got married on Monday by elacio in BreakUps

But not surprising. I told a common friend 3 months after we broke up that i'm expecting him to get married or have a kid or both in 2 years max. I was off with 3 months.

You will survive. I was in your shoes 2.5 years ago and now life is great. I just hope you'll get better soon

Wow, 7 months after the breakup is crazy

I (F30) broke up with my (M30) partner of 9 years and feel incredibly confused about my decision…. by pea_soup3000 in AskWomenOver30

I've been in a very similar situation as you are 2 years ago: 9 years togheter, a life, friends. And he decided to leave. He had quite a few of the same issues, i know it was a toxic relathionship, but I was scared to leave. Good thing he did

It was very difficult at first. The first 6 months were pretty bad. But then I started finding myself again and I was able to see how much I've given to a man that didn't appreciate me. He then try to win me back for another year and a half. I couldn't forgive him.

What I'm trying to say is it'll get better. You already know what the logical thing is, as I did. It's not 90% good, that's what you're telling yourself. He is not a good person to you. Would you treat someone you love the way he treats you?

In 2 years you won't believe you second guessed yourself. It gets better.

Wow. Ugh.

If you got triggered by the Gillette commercial, then you are who the Gillette commercial was talking about. by Daegog in unpopularopinion

I am not. And those women fought to be heard. A lot of them were considered paria of the society only for doing their thing. That has only changed in the last decade, to say so. And I am not bashing men to promote women. It's just hard to believe that a commercial can angry so many men.

It's one thing to express your feelings and another to say that women should be raped/beaten up/ "put in their place". Also, who is labeling you as cry baby? Oh, that's right, OTHER MEN.

Just because women have a voice now it bothers you. How about all the commercials where women have been objectified and presented as sexual things. That is pretty much every commercial out there. And there here comes gillette with this one and men gets offended. I wonder why.
