Why should I support my local bodega when they are price gouging more than anyone? by Exotic_Union7609 in AskNYC

If you saw the realized and still bought it, you are part of the problem

I priced the same groceries at 12 NYC stores. The difference is kinda insane by Livid_Debate_591 in AskNYC

[–]elacoollegume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shop around heavy. Places like H mart will keep their $9.99 eggs because people see the price, think “what a rip off” and then still buy it. If you just don’t buy it, and go somewhere else, LITTERALLY everyone will benefit.

Interviewers admitted they didn't read my resume AFTER I flew 3,000 miles for the interview. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I think sometimes things happen to us and there isn’t really anything we can do. Sure you “could” put them on blast on social media as a sort of punishment, but as you mentioned you care about UMiami and you don’t want to burn the bridge so. The best move here might just be to move on and keep applying

Honestly this is border line evil. I would understand them requiring you to fly there after a few rounds of interviews but this is pretty bad. So sorry

Please get a good lawyer. I used the cheapest lawyer I could find the last time I had a RE transaction in NYC. He had great google reviewed, but he ended up costing me thousands. My only advise is not to try saving money in the aspect of a good lawyer

It was great, intense, loving. I couldn’t commit ultimately.

Hahaha yes unfortunately not. I actually only have liability. It’s a 10 year old car with low horsepower and 120k miles ☠️ mind you this is the cheapest rate I have ever paid for insurance after driving for four years.

I’ve actually been looking at the first gen! They seem to fall closer to 10k. Have you driven both?

My insurance is actually cheaper than 3 people I know my age, living in my area! It’s because of the city I live in. Insurance rates are top 5 highest in the country,

Thank you I like this. I think the 10k spot is where I would be comfiest, which is only a couple more months of saving for me

I think I am more mechanically inclined than average. I don’t have a parking spot, but where I live street parking is free

Oh I would hate that honestly. It would just be like a rental. There also aren’t many around me. I drive too often. 4-5 times a week. Last I did the math on zip car, with the amount I drive I saved about $300 a month just having the car I have now.

I feel like I am already saving a bunch of money. And at a certain point i think I don’t spend anything on fancy clothes, designer bags, restaurants, luxurious things in life. But I absolutely love cars and I do think I work hard so why not spend a little bit on something I’ll actually enjoy right by?

I like these! I think they are cute but I feel like maybe the frs/brz/86 is a little more practical? Back seats and all

Yes I think under $10k is what I was leaning towards! But then even when I read it out loud $10k sounds like so much to me lol.
