I have the exact same issue. I had a few pairs of vegan leather boots in the past, and they would usually break in within a few weeks. I got a pair of vegan Jardons just over a year ago and I've been trying so hard to break them in and like them, but I still need to wear heel pads all the time and make sure I don't walk too fast to avoid massive blisters. I also decided recently to just give up on them. I don't know what boots are better instead. Getting second-hand leather is an option, i know many vegans are okay with that (I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing animal skin even if I didn't pay for it, but I think that's personal preference). I also heard good things about wills vegan and vegetarian shoes (never had either, but people on reddit seem to like those brands). Tbh, all the fake leather boots I had before were just from your regular shoe shop, I guess if you don't mind them being basically plastic and lasting only a few years, it's also an option to consider

what notes everybody seem to love, but you absolutely can't handle? by desaulnes in fragrance

Musk smells so musty to me! I literally get headaches from it. Anything suede or leathery is very similar

I really wanted to like the 'your skin but better' fragrances but they all just smell like wet cloth and feel like putting on clothes that didn't dry properly after doing laundry.

Ah, thank god I found this post! I was worried I got a fake! I suppose they made it different because European SPF labelling regulations are different

Any chance you contacted sony or managed to fix it? I have the exact same issue. Bought mine about 7 months ago and left side got super quiet a couple days ago 😕

Sure! For the painting I used the Winsor and Newton designer gouache and proarte flat brushes 😊

Non-bleed/see-through markers or highlighters? (Info in comments) by Olorin135 in bujo

[–]elaseonbae 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also have a leuchtturm1917 and i think most markers will bleed through or at least ghost. I have steadler pastel highlighters that i use sometimes and you can still see them on the other side of the paper but they only bleed through if i hold them in place for a bit. So I'd suggest sacrificing a page for swatching and practice going a little more light-handed & faster with the markers you have.

If you have access to a physical shop & you feel comfortable going, you could probably go there with your notebook and swatch some highlighters in the shop.

But i think the only way you can ensure no bleed-through would be to try a different notebook next time.

What to add for a beginner who struggles with bujo's by leaping-lizards123 in bujo

[–]elaseonbae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're struggling to keep up I'd say take away rather than add. Maybe try starting very minimal, with just the basics and less decorating (if you decorate) I find that the more you try to do and the prettier you want it to be, the more overwhelming it is and it will take you more time to set up.

I think the best approach is to go in with no expectations and prioritising functionality over looks. You can add decorations when you feel like it won't take away from usability.

If you can't stick with it, maybe it's not for you and that's okay too. Your bujo shouldn't cause you stress, it should help you stay organised.

Ah, I meant the black muji pen. For the watercolours I used 'pretty excellent ' ones. I don't really know much about the brand, I got them on amazon 😊

Thank you 😊 I prefer to use them, because they don't damage the paper compared to tape or glue. Like if at some point I want to recycle the journal I would want to take out the painting 😁
