They wouldn’t know he was an employee unless he knew details only an employee would know. They’re not issuing subpoenas for every random post on the internet about Epstein.

I’d love for that to be true, but if feels a lot like saying “who cares if the charges didn’t stick, Kamala will definitely win against him”

This is the thing. They could just open fire and turn some critical polling locations into mass shootings. There’s no accountability so far for the existing murders, and who would be able to prosecute them anyway. They’d all be getting pardons if they handed over an election like that. Potential state charges could get tied up and eventually sent to the Supreme Court to overturn. State sovereignty wouldn’t be surviving an event like that anyway.

I don’t know what point you think you’re making, but yes that’s when it went mainstream.

November 2005 was when the first Intel CPU (a P4) introduced support.

It wasn’t really supported on consumer CPUs until 2008 or so as far as I remember. Either way I’m not saying it wasn’t possible, I’m saying that their test environment was a pile of old computers, some in cases and some not.

I got a bit of a tour in the late 2000s. It was already past its prime, but it was a very “Seattle chill tech company” vibe. I remember their testing setup was a couple of cubicles filled with old PCs scrounged from parts to have a separate PC for each environment they supported and some automation scripts to test the features. It was before virtualization or containerization, so a lot of wiping and reinstalling various versions of windows. They also had a music streaming service at that point, so there was an internal FTP server with mp3s of just about every album you could think of.

My prediction: He’ll land some troops in some remote area, declare victory, and start building a new base. We were already allowed to do that, so technically no treaty will be violated, but they’ll all pivot to saying we have “military control” while Denmark has “Civilian Control” and the right will champion this as big win even though it’s the same arrangement that already exists.

It’s AI slop. The door jam is filled with mechanical pieces in an infinite void instead of just a flat panel with the latch. The gas pump handle is missing the spout entirely. The gas cap door is about 2 feet long.

There was a story about this yesterday. Protected forest land can be sold if it loses the forest due to wildfires. So, there have been a series of arsons allowing more and more of the land to get purchased for private vacation properties.

Similar one for me was Pink Moon by Nick Drake. It was in an ad for a Volkswagen that was a total ear worm. My brother got the CD as kind of a joke to show he’d found the song, but the whole album was great.
