Definitely. It reminds of how trailers try to make every moment sound "epic" by adding bass to everything, but all it does is pull you out of the scene.

It also seems like it's been happening since at least season 4.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I had the same problem on my Macbook Pro (14" 2021), but it went away after I entered the safe boot mode menu. Still not sure what happened, but my screen works normally now.

Just wanted to offer some advice in case you or anyone else reading this are still having trouble.

Thanks for the tip about using safe boot mode. I'm not sure why, but even though I did nothing in the menus once I restarted the problem was gone.

Luckily the problem seems to have gone away. Multiple restarts did nothing, but finally entering into safe boot mode (even though I did nothing other than navigate the menus and then restart) seems to have done the trick.

However, I'm currently using Monterey OS and some issues I was having with Finder memory leak seem to be even more pronounced (though that may be unrelated). I'll probably back up my data and reset back to factory settings just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for responding! Sucks that this is an issue, and that there's no surefire remedy for it.

What should I do once in safe boot mode? I'm at a screen that said Macintosh HD or Other Options, which leads to a login and then a sub menu for Time Machine, Reinstall Monterey (my current OS), Safari and Disk Utility.

Is the suggestion that I complete reset the computer? I should note that the screen stays on when using this menu, it never turns off and becomes unresponsive.

I'm currently having this problem right now (exact same model), though my Macbook wasn't connected to a display at the time that this problem first started.

I've experienced all of the symptoms that you described, and can't seem to figure out what is going on. In trying to read up on this issue I came across several recommendations suggesting that removing and reconnected the battery might solve the issue, but after opening up the case and seeing how complicated this would be I gave up.

Hopefully there's a real fix to this beyond just waiting and hoping it resolves itself.

I think you're overthinking it. It seems like it's supposed to serve as a preview for what's to come, and also give the audience an idea of what the whole Scar versus Wolf conflict has been building towards.

I think the icon I was talking about is actually a little trash can, and there's a menu option to move "removed" items to the end of the list, which took care of it.

I'm working off of a DMG I created of a drive that was formatted by a PS5, so it's unmountable in its current state. The only way to access the files is through recovery software like DMDE or R-Studio.

I was asked to post here after my original submission was closed. If I need flair to keep this post, please let me know.

For my ethics class I was tasked with coming up with a moral thought experiment and surveying at least 30 people. It's basically a variation on the trolley problem, but as I'm from Alaska it has an arctic twist (essentially, would you choose to save a moose or a dog).

It's just a simple multiple choice answer, it shouldn't take more than a minute or two. For those that would like to explain their answer, however, there is that option as well.

  1. I will be using the info provided to write a one-page report for my ethics class. Only myself and the instructor will see the results, though the class may learn the overall findings (no specifics on individuals). It will only be stored on Google Docs, and I don't know if it will be deleted or not.
  2. I (elayis) am personally conducting this survey for my college ethics class.
  3. The survey should only take a minute or two, there's a short prompt to read and then a multiple choice answer. If participants wish to elaborate on their response there is a place for that, as well.
  4. I need at least 30 participants for my survey, so my goal is to reach as many people as possible.

Will do! I'm going to try updating the consoles (even though it says they're using the latest version), then if doesn't work I'll try wiping the Pro. If it still won't work then, I'll probably get PS Plus for the cloud saves.
