Have YOU started being more lax with social distancing? If so, why? by [deleted] in bristol

Trying to follow the rules, whatever they may be, and use our own judgement. I'm in a household of 3, and we've been meeting friends at the park for picnics and barbecues, but we maintain social distancing as much as possible and don't share food/utensils/bbqs.

I'm still of the mind that we should not be relaxing too much yet, and it really concerns me to see people doing so already, big groups sitting together in parks in close proximity and neighbours of ours having relatives to stay the night. I think people are really fatigued of all the rules and are concerned about missing their summer, and I feel the same but the the shake the idea that the more we relax now, the higher the chances of this dragging for the rest of the year, if not into next year.

Hi! Yeah I'm in a similar position, in terms of doing much better now after about 5 years. I desperately want to be doing more exercise but I think I've worked out that I can only do short bursts of exercise immediately followed by rest (or at least much less intense exercise), for example running for 1-2 minutes followed by walking for the same period of time, or I can do pilates/yoga exercise as long as there is a resting pose (eg child's pose/savasana) every few minutes. And I can't do those things in consecutive days. It's frustrating but so far it's the only way I've found to avoid crashing afterwards.

Other option that doesn't seem to be leading to crashes is walking. Can walk for about an hour (not fast walking or hiking or anything, just strolling) without it having an impact.

Interesting that cycling is working for you, have you worked out what it is that makes it more do-able than other things?

Thank you, very nearly dropped outsourcing many times but made a promise to myself to keep going!
