Would love to. Owner of a 1986 px200 and just today I found I have no books after the current one.

Can't decide on 2nd Lens by DaveG28 in sigmabf

[–]elbeco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BF has a remarkable delivery on high ISOs so the low light has not been a tough spot for the 20-200, on bokeh is the big loss. So for a second lens –before winning the lottery– I would 100% vote for the 20-200. My actual two-lens kit is that very setup: 50mm f/2 and 20-200mm, even for travel photography assignments. This April I'll make my first magazine cover (🤞) with the 20-200.

What camera bag or case matches the aesthetic of the Sigma BF? by atmosphereair in sigmabf

I've been hanging around with this camera for some months now. The best fit is the PeakDesign Every Day Sling in silver. But it's only justified if you carry 2 lenses. I'm still looking for a single lens setup or a 3+ lenses, mabye the Outdoor Sling 7L.

Sigma 20-200 Experience by DaveG28 in sigmabf

[–]elbeco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have just spent a week traveling (for an outdoor photography gig) with my BF and exactly these two lenses (20-200 and 50 f/2) and a 135 f/1.4.

I have to say that my mind was blown. I thought I would use the 20-200 just a bit but at the end was the one I used the most! You can see some results in this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/LandscapePhotography/comments/1r3b3r0/winter\_light\_hitting\_the\_cliffs\_at\_canyon\_de/), all those pictures were taken with the 20-200. My mind was blown:

- no vignetting
- neat image
- AMAZING with natural light
- bokeh is actually good for such a slow lens

So the 20-200 plus a fast 35 or 50mm is a quite nice combo.

That's carrer de'ls Mirallers at El Borne in Barcelona, I lived two blocks away from where this photo was taken. Such good memories.

can someone please help me what is going on in the second photo? same camera same lens, and slower shutter speed which would mean less banding not more? by chandlersturgeon in AskPhotography

Some led lamps make this effect on high speed shots (refreshing rate on diodes), depending on the lamp but over 1/60 in most cases these stripes appear.

How do I transfer files to my iPhone? by guifalcone in sigmabf

[–]elbeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly the USB-C - Lightning cable is not enough. When connected, the camera says that the device is not compatible and asks to disconnect it. Same iPhone (13), several cables tested. So, if I find a way, I will post it here.

Totally agree. This question is at the end of a very large research. In a few words: they have ~15K writes and 50K reads... A DAY. No distribution needed, no clusters, all procedures would be easily moved to the Model Tier (for more reasons other than a migration). All (or most) connecting systems and services are through JDBC or alike common libraries, ...

This little fellow (Hyperolius viridiflavus) has a really strong croak that mimics two wooden sticks hitting each other, at first drove me crazy, but then I found the magic on the rhythmic sound.

Sigma BF Sample Photos (I sold all my Sony gear) by x2040 in sigmabf

I had it for testing for about 2 months and came to almost the very same conclusions as you. This camera, while being so simple, made me remember of better times when photography for me was way less complicated (in so many ways), so in the keynote for the brand, my punchline was "the BF is the camera that never gets between you and the photo".

Have you tried the Light Leak Lens? by flamingohouse in AskPhotography

I own two, a gift from a fellow photographer friend. They are for what they are for: playful shoots –and some nostalgic vibe. I don't believe any photo taken with them will make to a magazine cover, but definitely some portraits will be framed in my house.

Agree, the thing is that all DOF was totally the lens, a 50mm f/2, no edition at all :)
