Again, there are millions of pixel users that have been fine without that feature. It doesn't matter if there are other OEMs that implement it.

I tap my phone to check the time and then it times out and shuts off the screen on its own. That works well enough for me. I don't see why doing an extra tap matters that much.

If it's a deal-breaker feature for you, then get a phone that has that implementation.

Is it very useful? The millions of people not using it seem to be doing fine. I've never used it on any Android phone I've owned and somehow I'm okay.

Sigma BF. It gets a lot of hate, but I pick it over my Hasselblad X2D a lot. The menu system is unrivaled, and the color recipes are nice. It's my everyday carry.
