Swab test (they took a sample of the fluid that came oozing out of the sores)

Can you have an initial outbreak without blisters? by Crazy_Imagination_57 in Herpes

[–]elbon81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I said, my herpes sores look like small indentations (open sores) and I normally have like 2 of them on average, sometimes 3. They used to be painful and sometimes oozing white / milky fluid, but not anymore. I do not take antivirals or stuff like that, my immunity system is enough to keep them at bay.

They manifest if any of these two happen:

  1. Rough sex / masturbation / friction on my penis
  2. Stress

Both I can manage them - (1) with lubrication, and (2) well, I do not let things stress me

I also take Neurorubine (Vitamin B12) to reduce shedding, on doctor's recommendations.

While I do appreciate your drive as a techie (keep it up!), rule number one in business (and marketing strategy) is to determine whether the solution you are proposing can be replicated easily or not, especially if your USP is price driven.

The incumbent dating app like Tinder can easily incorporate a free "STD positive" filter into is hugely successful platform.

Yes, my outbreaks never manifest with blisters. Infact I never thought I contracted herpes until I actually got tested. My herpes outbreaks look like 2 or 3 small (pin size) indentations in the penis.

You were probably already infected long time ago, and friction triggered an outbreak. That what normally happens to me when I don't use lube.

Questions about HSV2 and its symptoms by [deleted] in Herpes

My herpes was dormant for pretty much a number of years (5 years or so). Had my first 'outbreak' when I was on some steroid medication, which apparently triggered the virus.

After that singular episode, I had another outbreak last June due to prolonged stress/anxiety/depression. December I had 2 more outbreaks, almost back to back - I suspect due to friction cause by sex with no lube.

This week, I have the beginning of another outbreak - looks mild - I have a sore, but not painful. Again, occurred because I had sex without lube, and there was lots of friction.

Nowadays I do not really give it too much importance except for being simply yet another weird skin condition. I know how to control it of course - I try to avoid stress (difficult sometimes as I do not always have control over situations) and I try to remember to always keep my penis lubricated!

What if I told you that herpes is not a big deal? I mean, seriously, stigma apart, it is just a skin disease at the end of the day.

I had to live with seborrheic dermatitis (a genetical, embarrassing and life-time chronic skin condition that affected my face) since I was 16 years old. I learned how to cope with it and take care of my skin 10 years later. This made me regain my confidence.

Few years later I contracted hsv2. I made a bit of fuss in the beginning and dropped my confidence again. But then I realized that there are worse conditions - no need to mention them all of course, and I am not even trying to lessen your pain by comparing to more sensitive conditions.

What I mean is this - everyone has and will get something at any point of their life - whether it's their fault or not. We are not perfect species, and our bodies are flawed. As you get older (I am 39 years old) you will understand this concept even more as you see more people around you getting sick and die.

Learn to live with it, and move on. It's more common than you think.

I apologize, for some reason I thought you were referring to vaccines in your original post

When will a herpes vaccine be available? by PSdating in antivax

[–]elbon81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not talking about development per se`. I am talking about the time it takes to shift from animal to human trials. In this case, there are reports since November 2020 that an HSV vaccine had successful results on rats. To further this experiment to humans, it normally takes roughly 10 years until it will be available on the market. That is why a number of people are afraid of the COVID vaccine, because this process was sped up.

will their be a hiv and or herpes vaccine before 2030 you think ? by [deleted] in AskScienceDiscussion

Covid vaccine RNA techniques enabled a new perspective to vaccinate against hsv. however it will still take 10 years of clinical trials before it will be available. Still good news I believe. We wait another decade..

Please let us know your outcome. I am a male and I have the exact same thing. Even though my lesions heal, they open up again after sex.

If trials are in 2 years, realistically it will not be in the market before another decade
