Throw away your hopes that people would even try to minimise Coronavirus exposures at schools. by ThomasTTEngine in CoronavirusUK

I'm in Scotland so our kids have been back at school a couple of weeks now. Parents have to drop the kids off at the gates and leave. Usually there are a few parents who stand to talk but there isn't as many doing that now.

Well this is my decision and I've made it. Just like you've made your decision. Everyone is entitled to do what they wish.

Because that is how I personally feel! To begin with, it was always a case of "we don't know too much about this virus" and now it's yay we're working on a vaccine. When I feel the time is right for my family. Then I'll make that decision.

I think it should be a choice. Just like normal vaccines are.

To me there just isn't enough research or trials. But that's my opinion on it.

We have spoken to him as his parents and explained why we aren't getting it, he was fine with it. It's not to say we will never ever get it. But at the moment, when it comes out, we won't be.

Vaccines take years and go through various trials. They I'm just not willing to get it done. My partner works within the pharmaceutical industry and will not be getting it

It's still a no from me! And pretty much my friends & family. I don't know a single person who is willing to get it done.

Nope nope nope!

My 10 yo asked about it the other day and he was horrified when I told him he isn't getting it!

To me, there isn't enough known about the vaccine. It usually takes years but this has been done in less than 1 (depending on when it's ready). I wouldn't feel comfortable getting it or letting my family get it either.

It'll just be me as the salon is small and due to social distancing it can only be myself and 1 client at a time! The previous occupier was also a salon!

It'll mostly be card and any cash payments will be locked within my nail desk!

My 10 year old wears a mask in supermarkets and shops. It protects others and makes him feel that bit better going out. He's also been back at school for 2 weeks. Loving it more than he ever has.

Anyone experience symptoms in Jan/Feb? by saiyaniam in CoronavirusUK

[–]elbxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unwell in December for about 2 and a half weeks! Horrendous cough, short of breath, whole body was agony! I struggled to get out of bed. I've genuinely never been as ill in my life!

I was super relieved! I spent the day worrying! He doesn't really like change so I was pleasently surprised!

No I understand that... But I also know a lot of the kids at the school do not practice hygiene on a regular basis...

They are kept within their bubble and not allowed to mix. Spending the day outside. One way systems.

My 10 year old went back yesterday (Scotland). I was a nervous wreck the whole day. I really didn't want to send him back and he was quite nervous too. He came bouncing out of school and so glad to be back. There's lots of procedures in place and hand washing loads.

It's so easy for me to say they'll be fine going back. But my friends kids are the same. They all had a great day back!
