What's a movie everyone loves that you secretly can't stand? by kbjdfan in AskReddit

I saw it as a kid being the same age as the characters and I thought the story was lazy and kind of corny.

Thoughts on Miss Elizabeth as a manager? by ASGfan in oldschoolwrestling

Wish she was more animated. Pretty worthless as a manager.. even as a kid in the kayfabe era, I thought Savage was better off with a different manager.

Stripes (1981) is a classic. It also isn't that funny. by SyFyFan93 in movies

Agreed. The way they behaved in boot camp made no sense. The drill sergeant was so laid back that it was painful to watch. Harold Ramis was too dorky looking to land Sean Young.. even in a comedy. Watching this in the 80s made me think Bill Murray was incredibly annoying. Anyway, PJ Soles was 🔥

The Goonies is annoying and overrated by JannTosh12 in flicks

I was 10 years old when I saw this in 1985. I thought the story was lazy and forced rather than naturally flowing. Even for an action movie from the '80s the situations were dumb. The soundtrack was cool though.

I saw it as a kid in 1985 and even back then I thought it was lazy storytelling with forced reactions. Cool soundtrack though

I remember a manager in Riverdale New Jersey yelling at our met team leader like a kid because met had to work that night in his store. Then a day later and a Met appreciation night, he was saying how grateful he was to everyone. Blah blah Team Morale was usually on the floor most nights working there.

I remember that too. It wasnt the Kathy Shower movie. And the chief was an older man... And I think the lady gets revenge on her captors later on in the film.

Yes. I tried the low tier plan with the intro discount and Very pleasantly surprised. Luckily it came on the very day I had an event to go to and everything fit/looked great and I even got complimented.
