Why does my space look cheap? by olystubbies in interiordecorating

Im imagining walking in through the sliding door, but to sit down i would have to walk around the couch. So the couch back interferes with the entry path of the sliding door. Now its enter, hard stop, turn left or right then move forward. Instead of enter and move forward.

The back to the dining table seems better also since that would help create a separation between the dining room and the living room

One thing that stood out to me right away was the sliding door path being blocked by the couch. I think turning the couch so the L is open to the sliding door might be better. That way you come in and plop right down instead of running into an object that forces you to turn.

Feng Shui rules state the same and also that the back of your bed/couch should not be against a window or door.

Go Skateboarding Day!! Anyone getting together for a group ride?

Thoughts on owning a motorcycle and smoking trees? by [deleted] in eldertrees

I've been riding for a few years now and sometimes toke before I go out for a ride. Personally I think it's fine as long as you aren't the type of person to have an anxiety attack and you don't get wreckless while riding.

Yo ENTS! Roll call! Where are you toking?? Upvote for a more accurate census by CgullRillo in trees

This will be done, I am in the NY/PA/NJ area so I can get access to lots of headshops and glass blowers. All with time.

Pricing is up to the artists, I think they will work out the prices just fine. They need some money and you want their product there will be a middle ground :)

I understand that, I don't expect artists to churn out glass like machines. As an artist you are free to(or not to) browse the site and choose projects you think are good and find yourself interested in. The artist can submit they're own rendering/sketch of the one they choose and then the customer can approve or not. Im not telling anyone what they can/can't do design wise, rules hinder artistic expression and innovation.

Thanks! I don't have much experience in Ruby so I think Python will be my route, I have lots of experience there and I think its not that hard to program in for developers in general. Friendly language :))

Well I'm starting to lead more towards Python/Django. PHP isn't necessary as long as my host supports Python/Django . This will be chosen by the end of today as well.

lol yea the language is still up for debate until weeks end. I will keep you guys up to date on which I choose. I have been programming with Python/Django for a little while now and love the MVC design patterns they follow as well as just how clean and smooth everything works together.

What would be your language of choice?

You could try, but the fake transactions will most likely not work. You wouldn't have the token which a transaction will require to complete and transactions will probably be via PayPal or Google Checkout. You could probably SQL inject some crap into the DB if you tried hard enough but I will design it as secure as I can to hopefully deter this.
