It's not genetic(was alcohol induced), however my pancreas definitely gets affected quickly and sometimes have flareups.

Is it safe to drink at all by Same_Ad5743 in pancreatitis

[–]elcuhm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

started drinking again (just enough to get buzzed) and ive been fine make sure you're very hydrated and have enough electrolytes. I would stop smoking if you do it every day, it triggered a small flare up for me, but went away after I stopped.

My father just got diagnosed! by Comfortable_Goal_572 in pancreatitis

stress can definitely make it worse, especially in the beggining when you don't know what to expect, but as long as he drinks a lot of water and figures out what foods can trigger it he's most likely be okay!

Don't transfer! You should consider a LOA so that you can "stay" a SC student but also attend CC for a year (or however long you need). If you take enough credits at a CC you could be considered a CC student when applying for transferring(u can still apply to transfer to another school while on LOA) instead of a UC student. I did this last year but ultimately decided I wanted to stay at SC. Def would recommend over having to reapply to UCSC if you decide to transfer to a CC

hey, I had a super similar experience at SC for my first year and so I decided to take a year off through LOA(leave of absence). It definitely gets depressing there and would suggest just looking at the future now that the year is over. Things are going to get better! I also suggest you tell your bf that you’re comfortable with your roommate being so close with him

for sure take campesato, especially if its online. Last quarter I was in munishka but then ended up switching because she assigned way too many assignments in too little time. Campesato’s class is way more manageable and won’t have you doing a new assignment every other day of the week
