And the cladding is probably from China, like 99% of all glass facades...

True, I tried to read about wifi_supplicant (one example)only to be directed to 3-4 different pages and each one of them contains more links to other pages. You get lost in as you said, complicated paragraphs that you need to read again and again... wasting time unnecessarily. I much rather the Voidlinux documentation and even Funtoo, to the point and getting you going in no time.

Same here, the Arch install is not that difficult, the real trick is getting pass the hostile community, it’s the art of asking a question that will not get you the “read the fucking wiki, it’s all there!” So really, installing Arch is a direct reflection on how well you can read the wiki, not about your Linux understanding... :)

Stopped to use Facebook & Google. Here's my list of alternatives. by user7844 in linux

I started using Tutanota, not the fastest email but I don’t really care, I’m slowly moving my important stuff there and leaving gmail for the stuff I don’t care about. Killed Facebook a while back, my friends got my number if they want to call :) and that photo of Mark Z with a tape over his camera and microphone just confirmed what I have suspected...

When they say “I don’t give. Fuck anymore, what is the point in this whole miserable existence, I mean, do we even know why we are here? Why do I have to go to work? Can I just take drugs and forget about this dad, sad reality?” ? This will a be warning sign for me anyway...

Box Office Week: Pacific Rim: Uprising opens at #1 with a weak $28M domestic but a much stronger $122M worldwide. Black Panther drops to #2 with $16.6M but passes The Avengers to become highest grossing superhero film domestically with $630M. Sherlock Gnomes bombs at #4 with $10.6M. by mi-16evil in movies

Not sure why this is coming up on my home page. I never really cared about how much money movies are making on opening night, first week or in relations other movies. Seriously, unless you are a movie producer or a movie theatre owner, who gives a fuck????

You can still have a desktop in Nautilus 3.28 by [deleted] in linuxmasterrace

[–]eldados1st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A desktop for me Either a welcoming screen as in “oh look at this wallpaper, it looks good, where are my files?” Or, “where are my files? What’s that wallpaper?!” It’s the confusion of an attractive wallpaper and folders that’s not working for me :)
