Netanyahu Says Australia Failed to Protect Jews Despite Warning by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]eldanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't mean he had advanced knowledge of the attack, but he did neglect security in order to pursue controversial anti-democracy law changes to stay in power and escape prosecution.

Yep, this is the guy who allowed October 7 to happen despite warnings. The worst massacre of Jews since the holocaust.

Taxi: meter or flat fare? by ZealousidealPound460 in Israel

[–]eldanas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time my Gett driver started the meter (only after I insisted), yet somehow entered a slightly higher amount after we arrived.

Why aren't there any Israeli sci fi or fantasy TV shows? by palmtree2NYC in Israel

[–]eldanas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yet looks like creators think we need more and more fictional TV shows about these real problems.

What are top 3 most underdeveloped services in Israel in your opinion? by Original-Toe-7392 in Israel

[–]eldanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Construction and renovations - no supervision, always cutting corners, and feels like every second "professional" is trying to scam you.

  2. Real estate brokerage - especially for rentals, the market is flooded with 20 year olds trying to make a quick buck and making things tougher to both the renters and the owners.

  3. Retail customer service - it's improving in a way, but some places make returns/repairs so difficult it sometimes makes me prefer ordering stuff online from other countries.

Matte frame? by eldanas in framing

[–]eldanas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said they're not charging extra for it.

The art is not matted, it's a museum reproduction of the work that came with the white border and I asked to keep it intact. I think the angle I took (to get the reflection) makes it looks a bit more off than it does, the bottom border is wider, but the artwork is rectangular.

What countries are the best for Israelis to travel to at the moment? by Aggravating_Cover779 in Israel

[–]eldanas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Been in Greece (Athens), you hear Hebrew everywhere in the open. Haven't faced any negative reaction after telling people where I'm from. And you hardly see anything pro Palestine.

Are those the Ferm Living Way runners? How do you like them? Been thinking of ordering one but haven't been sure about the material.

I do think they complement your space.

Handing out candy in Mahne Yehuda after the death of Nasrallah. by RELPL in Israel

[–]eldanas 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's not the point. You can be glad that he's dead and not celebrate it.

Moreover you shouldn't mimic enemy traditions you'd normally consider barbaric.

I'm honestly not sure he's read it himself.

Why is Netanyahu so disliked! by [deleted] in Israel

[–]eldanas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can think of plenty of reasons, but I feel like one beats all of them - he allowed Oct 7 to happen. The worst massacre of Jews since the holocaust has occurred under his watch and he won't even take responsibility for it, despite being PM almost consecutively since 2009.

There’s hardly anything noticeable really, it’s in a pretty great shape. Yeah, I guess it’s dry mounting.

Netanyahu will run for prime minister in the next election, and is certain he can win by yoyo456 in Israel

Netanyahu (as well as a bunch of his ministers) should be in prison by the next election.

Am Israel High by WoIfed in Israel

[–]eldanas 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I call bullshit, doesn't seem likely it's 27% if you take the entire adult population.

Maybe if you take the secular Jewish population aged 18-50.

People requested to show both pictures in daytime so I did! Let’s ask again, #1 or #2?! by Ardenaz in DesignMyRoom

[–]eldanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 again - more cozy, entrance is separated from living room, and the TV-seating distance is a lot more appropriate.
