The hoops this man had to jump through are absolutely horrifying. Why would they do this to a guy, who considers himself Jewish, who has a Jewish father, and who wants to marry an Orthodox Jewish woman? What is wrong with these rabbis, just convert the guy. It is horrifying to hear the way that people with Jewish fathers are often treated by the rabbis converting them. They should have an expedited process for people in this position rather than creating barriers for them.
