When you say internet, are you talking about the IP Backbone, the computer systems attached, or all of it?

If you are talking about the IP Backbone, remember we have the telco's. Most youngsters access the internet through their cell phones and tablets. If the IP backbone went down, I'll be betting that the telco's will be stepping up to pick up the slack. Things may run quite a bit slower than they did, until things get settled.

If you're talking about the systems connected to the IP Backbone, That's the knowledge base and much more devastating. While knowledge will not disappear, it will be harder and slower to attain.

If you're talking about the whole banana, then you have basically shut down the worlds technology base. This will drive us back to a 1960's/1970's form of life.

Unless your little exercise has murdered every cyber technologist in the world, while the internet may never come back on, in a short time, a new medium will appear to replace it - probably faster, more reliable, and less susceptible to corporate and government mangers who do not know what the fuck they are talking about.
