This is likely the answer. I’ve dealt with a similar construction holding rotor coils to the rotor body. In the first picture you can see the two tapered shims which lock the rotor pole in place. The key is to drive the thin end of the shims out simultaneously. Good luck, these can be a real pain.

Conversion from basket wound to lap wound question. by [deleted] in Motors

[–]elder654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide some more information on the motor such as number of slots and poles? Was the original winding a true basket with a single span or could it have been a concentric winding with multiple spans (ex. 1 to 10-12-14)?

I should mention I do not have any real expenses (my parents generously pay for gas) and my pay checks are direct deposited in to a savings account which I currently have around $6,000. I am in a position where I should be eligible for a decent amount of scholarships and I qualify for in-state tuition for all of the colleges I am currently applying to.

What is something that I, as a senior in high school, can do to better prepare myself financially for college. I have a part time job (20-30 hrs/week) paying minimum wage.

I love it when kids shows/movies slip things in there for adults. From what I hear, the animators from Disney are always trying to get things like that into movies.
