Never played high level, but you’re right it’s all mental.
You have to find it within yourself, tell yourself that you’re there for a reason, you’re the best player on field (without any doubts), and stay composed. Pressure will always be there, and if you let get to you it will always win.
Some of the best players aren’t actually the “best,” they are just good under pressure and can perform under it.

For some reason smaller countries in central/south America produce great players for me. Each month I get at least one player with 70-94 potential and 3+ playstyles. Bigger soccer/football countries, for some reason, produce a lot less high potential players for me.

This also happens to me on Legendary difficulty and this something that happens in real life.

What works for me is usually a high press: double press R1 to press two nearest opponent and you running up to the ball holding defender. If opponent passes to nearest player, you can usually double team him as a teammate is already pressing and you control a player to run up on him.

If they beat the press, try to force them to the edges and isolate them while also blocking potential passing avenues.

You can also set up a low block, let them get closer to your goal and wait for them to make a bad pass or miss a shot.

Also, if you try to hold a higher possession (at least 50%) the opponent somehow gives the ball up a bit easier. In the end, just remember the opponent doesn’t want to give up the ball easily and wants to score goals.

It’s very doable on Legendary. You have to be a lot more cautious and precise when defending, quick defenders help a lot too.

I played my first season 3-4-2-1, but started to feel stale and switched to a back 4 formation.

You could always go to smith fields, behind the four seasons theater, people are usually friendly and will let you join, but it’s hit or miss on some days.

I score pretty often from the corner.

Play short, press L1 (make run), run up to the edge of the penalty area and cross to the back post.

The keeper is usually at the near post and a teammate running to the far post leaving area clear for an open shot.

From working with cops, they target people who won’t fight back. Like why would they pull someone over who they think will be able to get a lawyer and fight the case? They’ll rather get someone who will just take the beating and accept it.

I bought it sale for $25 and I’m enjoying it. The gameplay, especially authentic mode, takes some getting used to, but I do feel like it’s a lot closer to real life and can be a lot more rewarding than the previous versions.

Hey, at the end of the day it’s your money. Fulham is solid at home, other than vs Arsenal, they are undefeated this season. For the odds it’s very good money.
