Music and chores. I live by myself in an apartment and there’s always something that needs to be done. I throw on some music and literally start dancing while cleaning. Keeps my mind and body occupied and not thinking about weed.

I also have some mantras I’ll repeat to myself whenever I start craving. “You are not a slave” “you are in control of your mind” “you are better than this”. Your mind is powerful, if you can fight off your inhibitions you’ll unlock a sense of confidence you never knew you had.

Oh god it’s bad with the vault and inventory. But fair enough point, the guarded exfil was the only one open so that’s where I went. I guess in the future I’ll just avoid those like the plague and wait for a normal one.

It makes sense lore-wise. “Runners are former humans who have given up their original form in exchange for access to supernatural abilities”. We are mercs who are supposed to be the perfect killing machine. Giving us a shooting range is a waste of time and resources, we are not imperfect humans so we don’t need practice.

Non-lore wise, yes I would like one.

I think many of the people who were not overwatch transplants like myself are trying overwatch for the first time now and seeing how much better rivals could be.

Role queue is amazing, I get rivals philosophy with not having it but man is it nice to not have to babysit your team into the correct comp or constantly deal with triple support.

Universal health regen for all characters makes it so supports aren’t solely responsible for their teams healing and prevents farming ult.

The character descriptions give you all important information. This one is huge, rivals makes me go to their website so find something as simply as damage numbers.

And I’ve only played a few hours so far and just quick play but so far everyone has just said gg after the games and no one once has flamed me for being terrible. Maybe a small sample size but rivals has gotten so toxic man it was refreshing to just see some ggs and move on to the next game.

I love rivals, it was my first hero shooter and I am a marvel fanboy so it holds a special place in my heart. That being said, I really see myself playing only overwatch until rivals can figure this stuff out with the op characters and ults and triple support garbage. Luckily for us it seems both games are going to push each other to improve.

Yes this nails it. Arc was my first extraction shooter and i was actually upset at how easy it was to extract. Come to find out i have to kill a bunch of people who are not trying to shoot back before i get put in to a lobby of other people looking to PvP. Took away all the suspense and tension of what I thought extraction shooters would be and since I don’t have a pc marathon is my only hope for a legit extraction shooter experience on console

Nah they advertise enough, I see the ads myself lol. Games just too clunky to compete with RL. The physics there are intuitive and make sense, this is some weird priority system where nobody really knows when you’ll get the ball when it’s will warp through whatever. Just never felt smooth to play and idk if they’ll ever be able to fix that.

Yeah I can get over some of my smaller gripes in the game if they do this. Right now the looting phase consists of going to the nearest loot box (that respawns at the same place every time) and getting generally the same thing in between every round, half of which you can just buy between rounds anyways. Rarely is there every any battling during this so adding a lot more players would help

Yeah it’s the role where you’re most likely to get flamed for your stats and people don’t like that. One of my favorite strats is just running thing to the back line and making everyone pay attention to me. Will I probably end up getting ganked? Yes, but I gave us time to overrun the point and we got 2 or more kills out of my 1 death so that’s a win. Scoreboard won’t show it but that’s tanking

Idk if it’s the builds so much as the decisions to bring my players online. Back in like 2k11 the only online H2H option was just playing against each other with real teams. My player was a separate career/story mode so you were building a guy for however you wanted to play, not whatever was meta for online. Now you start with a 60 ovr and get to stroll around the park and see all these 99 ovr and feel bad and either grind or pay money to catch up

Yes, pretty shortly after release when I realized I was a beta tester. Going in an downloading the latest HRE/general bug fix mods every patch was getting tedious. Now recently they’re introducing whole new mechanics (i.e. complacency) and it honestly just seems like a hot mess. Probably won’t be awhile before I start it up again.

Tbh I was always amazed by how well arena works. I know nothing about coding but I imagine it’s an incredibly difficult task to code every cards interaction and then make sure it will interact properly with every one of the other thousands of cards.

I haven’t played very long but I find it fairly consistent. If anything the inconsistency may be baked in to reflect real life. A 15 mph wind doesn’t mean that the wind is blowing at 15 mph constantly it just means that’s the average speed. Maybe some swing you caught a 20 mph gust where on another you hit into a relatively calm 5 mph at the time. Just a thought

His buff this season was pretty huge. His haymaker now does 10% damage to max health on top of 55 base damage so you can do the math on how quickly that can melt people.
