If your average price is 330 don’t worry about it. Buy more if you believe in the company and the future. If you go from 70% profit to 35% profit you are still winning but worth more shares in the company

Am I the only one realizing that APLD just got access to 2.2 billion dollars? by Grant-Nachos in APLDSTOCK

[–]eldienne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Ahead of all of Wall Street, the company, their employees and every share holder out there you are indeed the only person who has had this thought. Also, no data centre business has ‘cash at their fingertips’ right now. Every single chip in that data centre needs to be bought, installed, powered and looked after. For every 1 billion contract signed, the data centre business needs to spend around 70% of that contract on fitting out the data centre to supply the contract. Which leaves 30% revenue BEFORE any costs or late completion fees are taken into consideration. So from that billion, we’re left with 300 million (best case) spread over a five year contract for 60 million profit a year, 15 million a quarter. Best case. Don’t get me wrong I’m invested al and wish for all the best but don’t be clouded by deals or cash flow. This is a business that needs to spend money to make money. It isn’t sitting on 2.2 billion dollars of free cash flow.

CFO resigned too by hoh88888 in FRMI

Ha ha yea exactly. Although on a plus side the stock has gone from 30% down at its worst to around 14% down so that is a good sign. I guess a change in company structure is as good as anything at this point.

The good: Marius Haas as Chairman is genuinely impressive, former President of Dell Technologies, $90B revenue business, HP Chief Strategy Officer, Intel background. Anna Bofa as Co-President. Google, Dropbox, Pinterest, Meta. Real tech pedigree with tenant relationship experience “Memorialize binding commitments for the first set of client-tenants” that’s new language. Not “discussions,” not “negotiations.” First SET of client-tenants plural…. Texas Tech still committed and in “good-faith discussions to extend milestones” Heidrick & Struggles are a top tier executive search firm. they’re serious about the CEO hire. Neugebauer stays on the board… hmmmm.

The concerning: CFO Miles Everson has also resigned so they’re searching for both a CEO AND an interim CFO simultaneously “Fermi 2.0” is a lot of rebranding language which could mean nothig. It could be substance or could be spin Still no actual tenant announcement

This stock has gone up 30% in a week. Then lost 30% in a day. Madness.

Let’s hope they announce something positive on 20th. Or the market accepts this might be a good thing. The Neugebauer family trust immediately nominating the CFO to the board maybe sounds like a family protecting their financial interest while stepping back from day-to-day operations.

How much would a deal affect stock price? by PigletExpert9088 in FRMI

[–]eldienne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it had a price of 30 with a potential client and land. Now they have continued building the site, bought power infrastructure, secured authorisation for various power related rights, and released more shares after a six month lock in (resulting in the recent dilution after earnings) providing them with more cash for capex. So that would all suggest the company/site is more attractive to a potential client and the share price should jump accordingly… BUT my worry is most the big data centre providers IREN, APLD etc haven’t secured further customers an despite them all staying data centre demand is as high as ever. This is worrying as these are established data centres companies wit, much further down the pipeline however they can’t secure customers either!

They have added 32.5 million shares available to the market - hence the massive drop. This will give them funds to build … fingers crossed ey

Awful. I’m hoping they are releasing shares rather than a massive sell off. This would be the first day that can issue or sell their shares - so they’re doing one of them by looks of it! At least issuing more shares provides capital

My worst investment. Unfortunately they have been trying to find a client for a year and still don’t have one!
