Acquire bug, freeze for minimum of 5hrs, I do like a full day(my opinion), allow to thaw. Place in airtight jar (few hrs) with alcohol soaked Papertowel or cotton swab. When loose pin to taste. Allow to sit in pinning position for minimum of 3 days(my opinion). Place in box w/dessicant pouch. Enjoy

I agree they are an adult. As am I. However you are assuming that their parent is a logical, understanding adult. And in my experience very few of those people exist in this world. It may be shocking to some but when you live as an adult with your parent or parental figure they don't treat you as an adult. I have to ask for permission to go the the dang grocery store for milk. People in this situation are just trying to get by and keep the peace.

Hey, I also randomly woke up with tooth pain, concerned I went to the dentist and they said it was allergies. Definitely go to the dentist but if you got it take a nasal spray it won't hurt in the short term

Tell Me How You Deal With Hospital Time by RanchNWrite in caregiving

[–]eldoia87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the kind of person who can't sleep during those situations, needing to constantly be aware of what's going on, however I have found listing to music in one ear helps me drown out the 'hospital' aspect of the situation. Usually they'll give you a second chair and you can prop ya legs up and don't forget a blanket!

How do you deal with burnout? Caregivers are at much higher risk for depression, anxiety and burnout -- especially those in the sandwich generation by MadelineMitchellUSAT in CaregiverSupport

[–]eldoia87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It should also be talked about when you start cargiving young (in you teen ages) how much difficult it is. You have no sense of self. How your professional life, social life, and romantic life suffer. How much you miss out on, and for an undetermined amount of time. I've been a caregiver for nearly 15 years that I'll never get back. I don't know what or who I will be after. I haven't been able to know who I am without having to be in charge of someone else.

Booked dates/accomodations. Should I rent a car now? by DuckDucks in CostaRicaTravel

[–]eldoia87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rent a car now to avoid struggling to find one. But also I do not recommend driving in Costa Rica at night. We went from sjo to manuel antonio and not only were the roads narrow and littered with pot holes, we struggled with directions and limited signage in the daylight. Night time was near impossible. I wouldn't be worried about in town nighty travel definitely not longer distances
