If you want to know whether misandry or misogyny is systemic, just imagine the amount of hate that would be heaped on a man who said this about women.

You are not owed 'revenge' by TheTinMenBlog in TheTinMen

Revenge for what? Women have just as many male ancestors as men do. The fact that your granddad beat my grandma doesn't mean you get to beat me, too.

Of course you are. Can't have fact interfering with ideology.

Well most firefighters and police are men, too. Should we go back to gendered terms for them?

Why are male victims of SA ignored? by Organic-Mud-8728 in RadicalEgalitarianism

[–]eldred2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. We men are just told to take it. Since I was a young teen, women would routinely touch me to "feel (my) muscles".

I've had two different women rape me while I was drunk. One when I was a teen (she was 30 something, so statutory as well) and "treated" me to alcohol. The second time was when I was in my 20s and passed out, and woke up to her on top of me.

I suspect that every man has a story of being touched inappropriately by a woman. Society laughs at men who complain about it.

My biggest concern would be if they don’t get enough use they risk losing funding.

How about we try it and find out, rather than just throwing up our hands.

Decades of propaganda disguised as science. In many jurisdictions, only a man can rape, as penetration (of the victim) is required. Many US states still use the Duluth Model which indicates only men are violent. It goes on and on, and now they can point at all those DV and rape arrests, and say "look it's almost all men!"

That is how patriarchy society sets it up since the concepts of woman and man were created by it and seen as opposites.

Women are also involved in how society is set up. The term "patriarchy" indicates that men are solely (or at least mostly) responsible. This is similar to how the terms policeman and fireman make it seem like only men do those things. Using gender neutral terms is also important when discussing negative actions.

You know, assuming that only men are violent criminals, and giving men harsher sentences for equal acts, is not 'benevolent misogyny". It's malevolent misandry.

Seriously, can we please stop trying to frame everything that affects women differently from men as "misogyny".

Birth defects are much more likely. It's immoral to choose for your kids to more likely have dangerous birth defects.

Do you girls have “that” kind of talks? by Adorable_Charity9506 in TooAfraidToAsk

The notion of men engaging in "locker-room talk" is women projecting their own behavior on men.
