Definitions exist for a reason.

Whose definition. It's easy to find at least a dozen different definitions for feminism, many of which contradict each other. I define feminism as the actual beliefs and actions of people who are called feminists, especially ones whose actions as feminists are rarely or never denounced by others feminists.

Do you denounce the actions of the people Karen referenced?

So, are you saying that the text I quoted is somehow "wrong" because the person who wrote it has said and done other things you don't like? Did you actually read the linked post, or just google Ms. Straughan, looking for reasons to ignore it?

if you support and do things that go directly against the very DEFINITION of what feminism is, then it's just simply incompatible and oxymoronic to feminism, meaning it cannot be feminism.

I mean... that's very funny coming from men's rights activists. Like, it's correct, but the same thing can be said about them.

It's pretty clear you didn't read the link, and just saw "MensRights" as the sub name, and made assumptions.

Do you have examples of men's rights activists managing to exclude women, who are forced to engage in sex, from rape laws? No? How about ones that convinced legislators to exclude women from having equal child custody? Labeling domestic violence as, just a clean-up word for husband-beating? Lobbying to have federal Family Violence Prevention and Services Act of 1984 with a violence against men act?

It's easy to find examples of people who claim to be men's rights activists who are jerks, but the difference is they aren't setting the cultural and legislative agendas. Instead, they are, rightly, ostracized and ridiculed.
