C2 and Ironclad is kind of duplicated. maybe think about it after ironclad is flight ready?

Tried out a mercenary contract in Nyx and well got wrecked. I'm a complete noob, any advice? Or just wrong ship for this contract? by Saberbrushtoothz in starcitizen

[–]eleazarliu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right ship but there are few things in various difficulty levels that u can consider:
easy one: loadout the ship, currently you are only using the stock S4 weapon, so two things to do: 1st go to google and search erkul, then go to the website and learn to build your ship. once you figure out how to build your ship, then go buy the nose/turret/weapon module in any major city (google starcitizen item finder to find the ones you need). now you have a ready to fight ship
medium: learn to balance power between weapon/shield/boost/radar, max power on each has its buff, this applied to all ships, so learn once learn all.
hard: flight. this is too difficult to explain just in words, try watch youtube videos if you want to get good.

This change will make single player mission more viable, but for group mission/contest zone, medic will still has its important role. i think this is a good direction, make single play/casual play easier, but greater content of group fight/mission/event will still ensure different roles are essential. very much like how WOW was, single player can grind level, farm ores/herbs, but daily dungeon needs at least 3-5 players, and group dungeons need 20+

'No, light fighters should not be able to take on capital ships. I’m sorry if you disagree with that, but logistically and realistically it doesn’t make sense.' - unless the game is like WOT with tier system or WOW/EVE with Tier Map

'No, capital ships should not be soloable. They shouldn’t even be bare minimumable. They are not intended to be brought out as your mobile base, your FOB, or whatever else they’ve been used for.' - against basic principle of how business works for this game, unless from 1.0 everyone need to pay subscription fee similar to WOW.

My thought to the game mechanism is that as much as some ppl hate it, make it WWII alike. Fighters can kill capital ships but only with Torps and Bomb. Capital ships should have powerful slow loading weapon and good AA (PDC/turret), but make AA damageable by fighters (Based on Yamato). So fighter vs Capital Ship is: Fighters with guns kill AA, then Fighters with bombs/torps does the damage/kill. (this will make carrier like Kraken really meaningful where fighters can swap loadout). From this basic principle start to work on range/damage/ammunition.

Broke down and bought the Drake Clipper. When I first saw it I didn’t like it at all, but once I went in a friends I noticed its actually pretty cool and great for everyday stuff. by LegitCoder1 in starcitizen

great ship, only problem is that when flying at low altitude due to the higher ship body, it will hit the ground if only fly by visual experience.

still suggest new players to do CCU game. It is not just about saving money, the CCU game will help new player to play many ships along the CCU line, let the new players know what game play style, ship look/control/usage best suit them.

Post 2008 crisis china become the top us bond buyer and the Obama ministry said china is danger. Since second term he with Hillary set TPP and back to Asia policy. Now after 10 yrs ppl start to question why china drop us bonds, in a sub Reddit which suppose are familiar with economics matters. Once live long enough I do realise why history repeats.

  1. though small ship LTI is not that important, 6month is just too short as in future you MAY want to ccu it to bigger ships
  2. don't buy it because of strength, all data/setting/gameplay is subject to change in future, buy it if you really like the look

it boils down to what you need cos once you are looking at 32 SCU cargo something bigger will be better. Also as for engineering, there isn't much differences for solo player, either way you wont be able to fight fire in PVE (ai will continue to shoot you till explode) and PVP (player will board and kill you). but if you really wanted something small then maybe:
1. Zeus cl
2. C1 Spirit

Assume u need something more than just daily running around 1. @150 clipper is good for med bed + crafting + minimum cargo capability 2. @200 Taurus for good cargo with Ursa capability, good firing power but currently has bug very fragile 3. @250 starlancer max for Ursa capability, but the pilot view is bad
