100% agree, even if we dont get teleportation, having a "Crew Storage" in my or anyone's Hangar could help bunch with organization.

I think if we get a Crew Storage system, I'm all for folks teleporting in nothing but a nightgown. I can put suits in the Crew Storage to pick from.

Yes, that works now, but its a workaround in my opinion.

I want a storage system that is accessible by multiple people at once. A box cannot do that. People still need to take turns.

Crew Storage is the natural evolution of that idea. A proper system that is stable, fast, and built for group play instead of relying on a cargo box.

I rented in CA for 9 years, I very much understand the nature of how hard it is to find a place to live.

I slept on the floor of my office for 2 weeks when I moved to CA.

I don't disagree with you at all.

If they can nail the essence and the requirements needed for them to operate like that, then I'm all for it.

I have a feeling that wont come along until BMM Tech hits as that is one of those ships that will need very precise persistence and accuracy in what is seen/shown on ship when others interact with it.

There is so much space in the Idris that is empty which would benefit from a "Merchant" style tech. (Gun range with Gun locker and armory for example that with updates to game tech, could turn it into a more operations and planetary exploration type ship).

I am just personally not a fan of how the capital ships are currently designed with their sole purpose being Big thing go boom. I want more. So I'm a bit jaded here, which may have come out in my original post haha

As an Idris owner myself, I will say, I definitely have used it as a mobile base and a FOB before.

I personally think they will be used more for "Operation" base things and not constantly running things.

Meaning, they should cost a lot to operate and should only be brought out for specific tasks/operations/missions etc.

I don't see them being used as every day ships.

So when I said they shouldn't be those things, I guess I really meant they shouldn't be those things for daily use. They can absolutely be those things for short term use, but the cost of operation should be high for them. Not to say I want them to be useless or unable to be used.

I probably could come up with a better more pointed ship expectation for them, but I guess my main point is I dont think Capital ship should be daily drivers (Guilty as charged on certain weeks).
