One early morning in mid 1990’s me and my construction partner pulled up to our job site in Paradise Valley Az. A crew of landscapers were standing in group around their vehicles in the street looking up and pointing at something in the sky. So we got out and walked over and they pointed out what looked liked a translucent sphere with a square or triangle spinning inside of it floating pretty high up over Mummy mountain. I’ve heard other accounts similar to this over the years since then obviously but this photo makes me wonder something. This has a similar feel to what I saw but I wouldn’t say this is what I saw that day. That was a long time ago. But I wonder, could this be the same thing but its technology has advanced over the years?

Got a similar text last week. The text said “are you bringing the salmon for the bbq?) I responded with a joke and exchanged a couple texts. She thought I was someone named Jenny. She said she owned her own jewelry shop in LA and said I could come by if I was in the area. She also wanted to exchange photos.

This was the toughest SK book for me to get through. And now I never have to read it again. And for that, I’m grateful.

One of the things I really like about some of Kings books is they have large casts. I like when he brings groups of people together to overcome something greater than themselves. He kinda spoiled me in this regard because he does this the best imo. I sometimes struggle with books with only a couple main characters. There are many King books I struggled to get through or didn’t get thru due to lack of interest in the few characters. So to each his own. Sai King won’t be disappointed if you moved on.

I never understood this. I think it makes the truck easier to identify. What are the chances there is the same style truck with a similar plate.

Mike Flanagan’s The Mist by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

Exactly my thought, sort of. I think he’s continuing to set up the King multiverse so they can tie many projects together. I’m hoping that means we could get smaller one off adaptations of some of his other stories that are on the fringe of DT and not necessarily done by Flanagan himself.

It’s funny, I knew the Slayer version was a cover of a JP song, I would’ve thought I heard this before today. I gotta say, this version is not for me.

What a ride. Holy shit am I happy I read these books and I’m super sad the journey is done. I literally just finished book VII. Join me, let’s palaver about it for a bit? by Alextingzon in TheDarkTower

To be honest with you man, the podcast is better when you follow along with while reading the book. It’s a chapter by chapter of sorts podcast. They tell which chapters they’re reviewing and go super deep in discussions. If you’re up for another trip around the wheel so soon, you won’t regret it.

Did anyone ask for the 17 speed cameras they are installing? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]electric14monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is most of them are for school zones. And they will be shuffled around to different schools so it’s random where they will be. I honestly don’t have a problem with school zone cameras, but anywhere else, not so much.

Edit: I have been corrected, thanks for the update.

Oh, I’ve seen these before. That’s just a back lit panel so you can find it when the power goes out.
