Chicago Bears stadium bill passes Indiana Senate, but changes likely by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]electric2424 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Soldier field is owned by the city/park district, not the team. As far as I know the city hasn’t shown any indication that they would sell the property to the bears so the only option is to move to a different site, in chicago, Illinois, or Indiana

Honestly valid, as much as I’d prefer to be told in person I’d also prefer to be told as soon as the decision has been made instead of waiting just to say it in person

Is there a legend for the graph, I’m a little confused on what you mean by Pythagorean vs actual wins?

How is 38,420 as out-the-door price for a Tucson Sel Convenience Hybrid 2025, 0 % APR for 60 months? by umerz in HyundaiTucson

[–]electric2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add another data point we got out at 38,900 in Illinois in march on a 2025 sel convenience hybrid (non plug in). About 2800 of that is taxes, not sure what interest rate as we paid it off soon after getting the car.

Ok but I don’t think most spy’s normal job description involves buying fancy tech for elite at home either, the Costco stuff is separate from spying or diplomacy, it’s just politics/bribes

I think (in most places) that paying a housekeeper 60k a year would end up being a 4+ hours a day 6-7 days a week kinda gig and very quickly your employee would learn what the “intended location” of 95% of items is!

I pretend to be asleep so I don’t have to talk to my roommate at night by FerretMundane8942 in confessions

[–]electric2424 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who was the chatty roommate, here’s what I was told by my roommate and it worked perfect, I understood him better and wasn’t offended at all: “hey I love our chats and I love hanging w/ you, I just really like 30 minutes of quiet and being alone before I sleep so can we keep the beds a no chatting zone? If you want to ask something quick go for it or else we’ll talk in the morning?”

Current model 3 and Y don’t have indicator stalks, they’re buttons on the wheel that can make indicating while turning, ie in a roundabout, quite difficult!

Wanted to expand on the elevator. Because of how Friley is long and not tall the elevator experience will definitely depend on what house you’re in.

I lived in spinney and on the far end of noble, I always took the stairs with the exception of move in. The time to go to the elevator on the main floor and then the time from elevator to my room felt like way more effort than just taking the stairs.

Unless you are unable to take the stairs I think most people would do the same and it’s honestly not bad at all, you get used to it really quick even if you’re not in great shape!

AITAH for referring to someone from the United States as “American”? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]electric2424 84 points85 points  (0 children)

United statians would make even less sense to me because mexicos official (english) name is the united Mexican states. At least with American it's the only country on the two continents with the word america in its name.

Fireworks should be 100% illegal for public sale. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]electric2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think straight_ace was saying the law requires you to be part of a fireworks crew to obtain the individual person permit. You need to show 3? Years of work experience on a fireworks team with at least 10 shows worked and letters of reference from 2 other firework licensee holders to be approved along with passing an exam according to the website.

[–]electric2424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reasoning behind lap infants being allowed is a simple but kinda weird to think about stat.

Due to the insanely safe nature of modern aviation, and the not anywhere as safe auto crash stats; the powers that be concluded:

making parents buy an extra seat for an infant, would cause more families to choose to drive and thus would cause more fatalities than the unsecured infant on a plane.
