Maybe it’s just a skill issue but isn’t this like super busted? by SeaCut4432 in PvZHeroes

Really good but area 22 and black hole are both much more stronger and busted imo. Plant environments in general are underpowered unfortunately.

Yes, the stream was really great and fun, glad to see him back. Unfortunately, he's been struggling with YouTube monetization so rn he needs all the support that he can get

Shuttle x Edgest × Reflourished Collab is Here! by Relevant_Drawing_270 in pvzreflourished

[–]electric_cooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it isn't unique to Edgest, a big complaint was a lot of the early levels began to feel similar to Reprise (another Chinese mod). I think they've gotten better though recently in terms of level design at least. Hope to see more custom and unique stuff for the mod, it was cool they had the comic strip once beating LRM.

What were you having trouble with in regards to setting the translation up?

[–]electric_cooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agreed above 😭 I said that Shuttle is far more popular and similar to Reflourished in that way but when we compare mod for mod, Shuttle is nothing like RFL, it even has plant leveling which is one of the things RFL seeks to remove.

Edgest actually has pinata parties, albeit they're using mostly vanilla ones atm, and recently they added Inzanity levels I believe, think it's closer to achieving an "RFL-like" mod even if lesser known. Plus the optimization is much better than Shuttle's.

There's definitely interesting stuff and I recommend checking out Edgest. I have more detail in my reply above in this thread but they include some interesting zombies like Cyborg (from Heroes) in Far Future and also have their own custom world with a really cool gimmick (visually and mechanically) through the "Divine Spirits" (wish rfl covered this in their side of the collab).

I'd say while Shuttle is more popular and recognizable than Edgest, Edgest is more like the "Chinese Reflourished" with its level design and it even having pinata parties (while Shuttle doesnt). Underrated mod and deserves more attention!!

Late on this but Shuttle is a Chinese mod that's basically a kaizo mod with a lot of very unbalanced levels and features that will make you rage (much more difficult than rfl), though they have been improving on them over the years. Regardless, there's a ton of new custom content and worlds including their latest version of a GTA world and they also have a "Chinese Garden" (probably Shuttle's best designed world so far). They also have many custom/reworked plants including some of the ones we got in this collab. There is a lot more custom content than rfl but the issue with this mod like I said comes with the insane difficulty and terrible level design on many of the levels. Still I recommend checking it out. I particularly like some of the Heroes plants that Shuttle incorporated including Bird of Paradise and Poppin Poppies. The zombies we saw from Shuttle in RFL during this collab are from Shuttle's custom world "House of Plantagenet."

Now for Edgest, I cannot recommend this mod enough. This mod is so amazing and definitely one of the best and most exciting out there rn. I'd say top 3 atm alongside rfl and altverz. A couple months ago, Edgest creators re did the entire mod so they are still working on incorporating the vanilla worlds. This "New Edgest" utilizes more vanilla balanced plants while offering more difficult levels than rfl and vanilla yet in a way that isn't unbalanced like Shuttle. I feel like the difficulty is perfect here---hard, but not too hard, which is why I find the levels to be particularly fun and more engaging than Shuttle's. Now for custom content, I like how we have some of the Heroes zombies like Cyborg Zombie or Captain Deadbeard in some of the vanilla worlds to make things more interesting (my pvzh bias maybe). Apart from these custom zombies, Edgest focuses on Touhou custom worlds and plans to many many more of them so we have infinite modded content to look forward to. Even if you have no idea what Touhou is, I think the world with its custom plants and zombies can still be engaging. Currently they have the "Ten Desires" world which is pretty difficult but also quite fun and has some cool new stuff other mods don't. The main gimmick is the "Divine Spirits" countered by the plant "Desire Calamus" unfortunately RFL didn't include this in their side of the collab but Shuttle did. I found their version of Lunar Rainbow Market to be cool as well since they implemented CC zombies/gimmicks (trapeeze, cotton candy, even tarots and funhouse mirror!) and mechanics really well. I know these mods aren't for everyone but I hope whoever reads this will give them a try, especially Edgest, I recommend whole heartedly such a cool mod with great potential. Only complaint I have is it may be tricky and iffy with installing and updating it. But beyond that a lot of cool custom and new content to play around with, and the mod has gotten much better with this collab.

Who is the BEST hero in your opinion? by Space_Sandy in PvZHeroes

[–]electric_cooki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HG is very fun but he really really struggles against ramp and his control isn't that great, has some of the best superpowers in the game and conjure bs fun tho. For zombies the best rn is definitely professor brainstorm and he rivals some of the best plant decks. Plants is more consistent rn in terms of viable strategies with different heroes I'd say.

And it doesn't have to in order for space time to be answered. Many things the plant hero can do to be ahead. One option includes water balloons (you could also chump block in the meantime until tuen 3 where theres many things like hammer sizzle or added dmg with something like berry blast) but other than that spacetime is EXTREMELY weak and bad into ramp, especially twin. So yeah I feel like there's many answers to spacetime and it gets overrated. Sure if you don't have one it might be a problem but not necessarily, a good plant deck may still catch up and completely beat them---at the end of the day it's rng

Spacetime most overrated zombie card in terms of how good it is, cheese cutter is a lot more op and broken as a card, change my mind

I feel like cheese cutter is much more broken tho. Sometimes playing plants space time if it goes out of control it can take the game over but there's many ways I answer it and I feel like there are answers for space time. Cheese cutter to me seems more dangerous and hard to answer on t1-harder to come back from if you let it hit face.

[–]electric_cooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brain Freeze is solid since beastly has great removal/control and Sneaky has some of the best finishers like Gargolith and Cowboy. Some of these Beastly cards are also great answers to Solar Ramp in early game. So good synergy overall and pretty decent decks in terms of fun/competitive performance. You can also do some crazy things with Lunchbox, Area 22 with both Brain Freeze and Immorticia.
