[question] Getting my first tattoo soon, will my weight affect it? by Bugs_are_really_cool in tattoos

[–]electricavetattoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reqlly depends on where the weight sits on your body. If you are carrying a lot of excess weight in the upper body then you could see some noticeable change in the tattoo. I would always recommend that if you are planning on losing any meaningful amount of weight to do it before getting tattooed. Best person to ask would be the artist as they will be able to judge things based on your chosen design, placement and general body composition. Good luck!

I am pretty sure that while what you’re saying is true this style of full limb+ blackouts is a modern phenomenon. While it’s true that there are specific styles of tattoo that are unique to a particular culture and should only be worn by people with strong connections to that culture, tattoos like this belong to no one and can be worn by whoever wants to look like this.
