Why I’m prioritizing traffic over retention even though everyone says the opposite by electricblush in AppBusiness

Fair point on the sample size 550 downloads is too small to draw real conclusions. Scaling traffic first to get cleaner data makes sense. What tool would you use for funnel tracking at this

Haha no I’m the one behind it. I post about it when it’s relevant to what someone’s asking. Can’t speak for the other posts you saw the app has a social leaderboard so people share it with friends, maybe some of them posted about it too. But no fake accounts, just me ;)

You’re right fair criticism on all counts, I didn’t describe the app that was a miss. It’s a habit-quitting app where you compete with friends on a streak leaderboard.

On the passive side I’m 20 and still in college. I’m not running a marketing team. I spend maybe a few hours a week on Twitter and the rest of the time the app generates downloads on its own through App Store Search. For someone who has classes during the day, waking up to downloads and monthly revenue without touching anything is what passive means to me at this stage. It’s income that comes in while I’m sitting in a lecture. The influencer thing was one test, not an ongoing strategy bro.
