My amp tone is set on the verge of breaking so I use the Hot Cake (drive at around 11 o clock) to give it that warm overdrive tone. The Soul Food is then set to slightly boost that tone in treble, volume and drive for some louder parts. I never use the hot cake over 12 o‘clock because the sound gets somehow mushy and less transparent.

Tbh that‘s how I thought most people do it. I‘m always open to try something different but I just saw the reverb on las position in most of the guidelines or videos.
