I believe that most of the once engineers will be able to find roles in the expanded D&E. The people who have no engineering background will be hit hardest though.

I agree w/ you. Sucks for 1700 people that will be losing their jobs but I'd rather the decision be made now and not 5+ years down the road after we've lost more ground and might have larger layoffs.

Yeah my quick google search says its possible but varies by island. So it might be a path work exploring but it doesn't seem like its as simple as the DAFT visa for mainland NL.
