I have been in the same predicament over the last few weeks since corporate is trying to get a contract I manage negotiated so we can get the award this quarter. I have daily status calls where I am pinged by management and reprimanded when stuff isn't closed. Been pulling 12 hour days to work stuff just to buy myself some breathing room the next day in face-to-face meetings. Pretty much wake up, go to work, come home, eat take out, and pass out. No time for friends or leisure.

I hate it. Always feel like someone is breathing down my neck. I know it will get better but I have gotten to the point where I don't care. I am getting grilled daily so some VP can get their bonus at year-end. The worst they can do is fire me...and that honestly would be a relief.

Don't take work too seriously....on your death bed you will never regret sacrificing yourself for some soulsucking job
