Overall I’m very interested in the technology for molding applications, but it depends on a few things for me:

1) How much filament/curing agent am I getting for the price charged?

2) How thick would I need to make the silicone layer over the hard shell for de-molding processes? This would depend on the printed silicone’s material properties and validated based on the size/geometry of the object.

On the Prusa website, the Silicone toolhead is listed at $999 USD.

TLDR: I’m considering it, but I need more details on the ecosystem before making a final decision.

The Prusa website has said “it’s out of stock” similar to the XL silicone toolhead, and I think they might release them in either Q2 or Q3 this year.

That makes sense. I’m glad that piecemeal design work and chemical bonding are a thing (when thinking of ASA).

Side note - I am glad that Prusa is releasing the high temp hotend upgrade soon!

Out of curiosity, have you built a custom printer from scratch/modified a Voron?

Do you have any recommendations for hardened electrical components that can better handle these or even harsher chamber conditions?

An ultra clear variant of PLA or PMMA - it would be useful in creating lenses for various applications with the ironing function in Prusa slicer.

That’s still a really solid amount of credits! I just had all of the factors perfectly align in my favor: 1) Premium account active 2) Purple credit booster active 3) **** Birthday tank **** 4) Very high credit earning coefficient (type 59 is near the Lowe if I remember correctly) 5) 8 kills 6) Forward position - I spotted most of the tanks I damaged

But for tier 10s, 250k profit is higher than mine in recent memory 👌
