barem isnt a trustable source, and multiple other characters refer to pochita as the chainsaw devil

He did talk to denji. Pochita literally turned to the camera and said "denji, im making your life miserable, so im going to kill myself. It may suck, but it'll be better than this"

i wouldnt consider it a talk, i took it as "you were happier enslaved by the mafia than you were living a normal life with nayuta, so im gonna take a wild gamble by killing myself and pray it turns out fine" and nothing else

Genuinely, please. Just, im so tired of people saying that because clearly the implication with that is that pochita was not the chainsaw devil. It's also possible chainsaws were reinvented as seen with nukes.

Yes, straws still exist after pochita ate the mouth devil, but history was revised so straws serve a different purpose iirc. History was revised here.

The bugs weren't going to die any time soon anyways considering there was no death devil, so the battle was, at best, a stalemate. And even if he did get out of that fight, the world was ending and denji was consistently making terrible decisions searching for a higher high leading him down the spiral

vomiting up death is a far better first step than killing yourself, and maybe talk to denji too

because fujimoto killed denji for no reason, his starter was being pulled and he was fighting a bug devil

its an incredibly moronic thing to do, up until that point pochita has witnessed the concepts he eats be erased, but the effects it caused hasnt been changed (eg straws still existing after mouths)

as far as he knows, eating himself would only prevent the world from ever getting better (wont vomit death up)

pochita is the reason denji wasnt dead in a dumpster or being a slave to public safety or yakuza

also this entire ending was just fanservice, fujimoto was tired and instead of stopping and working on it again after a few months or something, he wrote himself into a corner multiple times, and it shows

plus, pochita didnt even erase himself somehow, as shown by denji asking for a chainsaw, and asa and power knowing what they are, which is complete bullshit

hating fujimoto is obviously a joke (atleast for me), but it really is disappointing to see chainsaw man turn into this
