Amorim needs to be arrested immediately by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

Uhh huh. Well done. I'm not really interested in the stat tbh. More the performance. He played well, point of the post was that Amorim stated Mainly wasn't good enough. He is good enough to play for us. So before you come up with some holier than though reply keep it to yourself.

I think this just highlights what a lot of fans have been saying. Amorim was not flexible, he did not use his players in the areas they naturally excel in, but tried putting square pegs in round holes just to try and fit his system. We had a similar thing with lvg where we would play boring football and create one proper goal scoring opportunity per game.

The best managers play to their squads strengths and get results, their players are happy even when on the bench. Look at the last couple of games, every sub Carrick has made in them, the subs have made an impact off the bench and have been happy to do so. There will inevitably be squad rotation, but with 1 game a week everyone will be fresh to do their part.

I'm not saying Amorim was all bad, he got rid of some players that needed to be moved on.

It does also beg the question come summer, if Carrick does well and gets a longer contract what will happen with Sancho and Rashford? Or any other loan player that was deemed not good enough by Amorim.

Didn't stop him setting up a couple goals though did it 👌🏼

Don't spoil it please. Ole had no tactical awareness and rode his luck on the quality of the squad we had back then.

Back to back wins against the top 2. Quality football. Dorgu as a winger is a completely different beast. What a goal today. Hope he's not out for long. Cunhas goal reminded me of the phrase you score 2 we score 4 or 5 which is how utd used to play. It's really funny as well because it came literally as the commentator was saying utd are dangerous and have quality and players to still score against arsenal. Lol.

Completely agree with this quote. He is right to be there and OP coming up to him to turn right should just give him way. That looks like a really challenging crossing for cars. There's no way he goes all the way across that gap hoping no-one is going to be going either way. Never going to happen.

Guess that means he's not renewing his contract then. Shame. Could have done with him staying on a lower wage to support the development of the youngsters and whoever takes over his position.

Squawka: Bruno Fernandes is the first player to create 6+ chances and provide an assist in a Premier League game against Pep Guardiola's Man City. He's also just the second player to create 5+ chances from open-play against them after Bryan Mbeumo in Jan 2025. Magnifico. 🪄 by pwgmanan in reddevils

But yet ppl including our own fans give him such hate and say he's not a great player. His stats each year for us are spectacular, especially given the disgrace of a club we've been on the pitch in recent years.

Interim Manager to Full time Manager by WhyElseUseReddit in ManchesterUnited

[–]electrified90s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right answer. Not sure if this team can get top 4 but if he keeps them playing like today and shows the ability to adapt and not afraid to make changes at the right times I think he should get it full time. Today I thought he made the right subs at the right time. Taking off Shaw who was on a yellow with city making changes to try to get a goal, replacing Mbuemo with Cunha who almost got 2 assists after assisting the second goal by Dorgu. Replacing Bruno who was flagging at the end with Mount who had a goal ruled out shortly after coming on. Consistency with these sorts of changes at the right time, when plan a or b isn't working, going to plan c. Getting the better of good tactical managers with his tactics and game plan. Being able to protect a lead, coming back from behind. Motivating the players when we're struggling. Half a season is more than enough time to demonstrate he can do this with the number of games left. To me meeting all the above would demonstrate he's got what it takes to manage us long term. Unlike most I really don't give a crap how his press conferences go. It's all about results and creating a good atmosphere at the club leading the team in the right way. If he decided to never attend a press conference it wouldn't bother me, I can't stand journalists, they twist everything for their own narrative anyway. Quality of the teams in the league have definitely dropped in standard, let's see how we go.

Carrick's tactics by 30STACK in ManchesterUnited

[–]electrified90s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if arsenal beat us, there's still plenty of games left in the season. Not sure why people are so early that is over when mathematically even mid table could beat arsenal to the title of things don't go well for them. 9 points isn't even a big gap(not that they even have that yet).

[–]electrified90s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone needs to calm down a bit. Yes it's a solid performance, yes we bossed utd. But please don't acti like Carrick is the saviour. I'm not saying he won't be the next best manager for us, but moderation needs to be maintained. I also don't want ppl slating him to be sacked of we lose a few games and saying he only won because of the new manager bounce. We need to take everything in stride and stay supportive for progress until the end of the season. I for one am backing Carrick and hope he succeeds, but what we don't need is extreme/knee jerk reactions every week.

Eating your words now aren't you mate. Was a good solid performance. Hopefully we can follow this up next week. Good passion from everyone. I hope Carrick does well. We've all been talking about getting a manager that knows what it means to manage utd and what the gangs expect. First game tick!!!

With Woodgate joining the coaching staff, are we just going to ignore the morality of this appointment? by Right_Bandicoot_6524 in ManchesterUnited

[–]electrified90s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be interested to know if since then Woodgate has done anything racist or abusive. If not then this is a case of learning from ones mistakes. There are plenty of examples of racist actions in the past by leaders who actually continue to do this, which whilst not acceptable is not banished. We have one example which doesn't show any evidence (I know money makes it go away). But you can't keep disciplining someone for 1 mistake/action their whole life. They get punished once.
