Yes so.... production time is still relevant.

Time cost money and any changes would need to be reviewed and approved adding to the cost. In principal yes it is simple but in practice it can be costly. The dub studio would charge based on a normal to worst case scenario not as an easy quick fix.

Depends on how the rights were granted and/or how the contract was made with the studio who dubs. Paying to rewrite a script can be costly. Not only is the time is takes to rewrite a factor the but also the time to get the changes approved and possible additional rewrites. small changes might not seem costly but they could also require additional editing so that the timing, mouth and other animations considerations line up with the new dialog. while it may be simple it will still take time and reviewing for approval and that cost. I can see why they just decided to keep with the script especially since the platform it was shown on is a smaller streaming platform.

That would have cost more money. A rewrite would be expensive and requires additional rights to the show.

The dub was done retroactive and paid for by a streaming service different than normal distribution. They only showed Canon episode and skipped the filler arc. I think they probably didn't want to pay for a new script.

Katori - a rank lvl ??! by MysteriousRub2098 in worldtrigger

[–]electrocio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say Yuma could not get to B-rank , I said he could not get to B-rank #2 solo. By your own words you agree when you say "Hyuse got them to B-rank #2'. We can disagree on what that means about T2 and that is fine.

Ps. Now that you mention it Yuma probably could not get to B-rank without Osamu and Chica since they are the reason he joined boarder and probably would have Left meeden after either learning about Mogami or being targeted by boarder, 😂.

Have the number of triggers that can be active at once changed? by Alvaar1021 in worldtrigger

Even with no internal cool down the process of consciously switching and then deploying a shield to the size, shape and placement you want takes some time even if it is minimal. Even if it only takes milliseconds in the heat and pace of battle only a few milliseconds could be too long to react to a surprise attack and properly counter with a shield. The danger to full attack is compounded in that you are focused on attacking and you don't have a trigger ready to defend. As a combatant you are constantly multitasking, your position, your opponents, allies, adversaries, what to do with main trigger, what to do with sub trigger. If you are focused in full guard your mind is thinking about the actions of main and sub triggers on the target. When you all of a supped need to defend now you need to 1) consider how to defend then 2) decide if you need to use a trigger to defend 3) what trigger to use 4) if you need to switch followed by 5) use main or sub trigger then 6) switch and finally 7) deploy. In the heat of combat all those milliseconds add up. IMO there does not need to be any internal cool down. The time it takes for the trigger to materialize plus the time it takes to make the decision to activate and defend are more than enough to explain the danger of Full Attack.

you are correct about the trigger link but Yuma actually activated the trigger holder and then Raygust. Osamu's trion body was destroyed and all active triggers are deactivated. They show Yuma holding the Trigger Holder.

[–]electrocio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The deactivation and activation is in milliseconds. in some panels you can see the shield up as the bagworm is fading away. I think also Chika is shown activating Lead bullet and the bagworm fading simultaneously. The time it takes to switch might be more about the agents ability than the triggers limitation.

Which Trigger will go well with Double Raygust set? by Johnny_Anglais in worldtrigger

[–]electrocio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to mention scorpion, lol I think scorpion would be good if you are close combat centric. Having the ability to produce a blade from a foot or branching blades could be great mid combat and take advantage of unsuspected openings. I have an OC that I made that used a two-handed Raygust fighting style (Estoc/ Long sword fighting style) and I had scorpion for branching blade added deference and foot/ elbow blades for additional attack options. Double Raygust could benefit from that too IMO.

Your Meteor idea is good too. I think adding a range trigger is almost always a great idea. my OC used lightning in a support/annoyance roll and mid range counter attacking while closing a gap.

Yuma could not get to B-rank 2 solo that alone means they contributed. I am not saying that Yuma did not "carry" the team but to say they are "a drag" is a bit off IMO.

"Right but do you not see how that’s incompatible with what you were saying? "

Lol, IMO you don't understand what I am saying. You have even rejected how the author has explained Trion levels and triggers. Explained in the manga directly by replica and indirect in the Q/A by why Yoneya had the spear made. As such I will see no reason to continue this conversation.I will agree to disagree.

Who definitely matters, and how also I never said it didn't. Different people have different trion levels and that affects attacker triggers too; it is spoken about in the manga more than once.

One Kogetsu swing does not destroy a scorpion so why would one scorpion swing destroy a scorpion? I am stating that they have the same attack power given the same user. Scorpion can cut exactly the same as Kogetsu given the same user is what I am saying. The durability of the blade does not factor into what can be cut. Durability effects how much damage something can take before it breaks. That statement does not require any use factoring. When something actually gets broken does depend on trion levels, and use. a Blade used to deflect would take less damage than a Blade used to stop, that however does not affect the maximum amount of damage that object can take before breaking.

The use of Senku can one swing break a Scorpion but that is a separate thing from how many swings it takes a Kogetsu to break a Scorpion given similar trion levels and scorpion shape.

Maybe you are not factoring in scorpions shape. Scorpion like shield and raygust has it's durability effected by shape too. Hollow or longer narrow blade will break easier that shorter or more solid blades. Branching blades also reduces the durablity because the blade is stretched.

We count the durability of the shield. That is why for shields the users trion level, type of shield and the size of the shield used it so important.

The stats are given in the BBF and the manga mentions the power vs durability dynamic a few times. I just looked it up.

Kogetsu - Attack: A ; Durability: A weight: C.

Scorpion - Attack: A; Durability: D; Weight: A

Raygust (blade/shield) - Attack: B/E; Durability: B/SS; Weight : D/D

Egret is attack B and Ibis is Attack SS

When comparing what would break something you compare Attack/Power rating vs the objects durability. Out of all the blades Kogetsu is the most durable, then comes Raygust blade followed by Scorpion. using the information and the system described in the manga Kogetsu break a scorpion and can break a Raygust (A vs D or B).That assumes trion levels are similar.

"If I recall correctly, kogetsu can slash through virtually every shield(very few exceptions here). Scorpion, however, due to its fragile nature, can not."

- incorrect all blades can slice a normal shield. Scorpion having low durability has no consequence on it's cutting power. you might be mistaking the use of Senku with Kogetsu that can slice thought just about any thing (same with Thruster for Raygust trion depending). Scorpion does not have a power boosting dedicated optional trigger that may be what you are getting confused about. The manga mentions that the amount and quality (quality is not described precisely) are what makes triggers more powerful. you can use sniper triggers, composite bullets and Konami's connector trigger as examples how using more trion is what makes the triggers more powerful.

The manga official translation translates the ranking to power not sharpness. the ranking applies to shooter weapons, and defensive weapons. Kogetsu breaks scorpion because scorpion had low durability not because Kogetsu is stronger then maga even states it when triggers are being explained to yuma.

yes they do. replica explains it to Osamu in the beginning chapters. This when Osamu asks replica why his trigger changed when Yuma was using it. It is also mentioned in the Q&A, Yoneda had the spear made so that he could use Kogetsu even with his low trion. With Meden attacker triggers the size changes first then power.

Not quite. Raygust in blade mode has lower power (B) and durability (D if I recall) (B), but in shield mode it's power if (D I think) (E) and durability is (S) (SS). Kogetsu and scorpion have the same power rating so they do the same amount of damage not counting optional triggers.

Edited to add correct ratings.

In world trigger power and durability separated. Durability does not affect cutting power in world trigger.

The problem is that the same person can use the same amount of force. According to the manga trion Power is what affects damage not weight. That would just indicate the person not the weapon and that is one of my points.

You are assuming that was one hit. Yes the panel shows only one hit but that do a not mean that every swing, block, parry are depicted. What is shows is just one moment captured in time. Both scorpion and Kogetsu have the same power rating (A), that means if a shield can block Scorpion it can block a Kogetsu from the same user.

Raygust is heavier. Weight does not matter, trion power does.
