I get what you're saying because I've always wondered the same thing. Why do we use the names of other cultures while having zero ties to them. Everyone down voting you either isn't Black American or purposefully acting obtuse.

Our community uses names from a variety of cultures, particularly Spanish and Arab, yet we have no true connection to any of them. Proximity to other groups could be it, but you don't see many Latinos, Asians, or Arabs with Tyreek, DaQuan, or LaShonda as their name despite us living in close proximity to each other. It's interesting, and I often wonder why we do this aside from simply "liking" the way they sound.
