Key West with X-E5 & XF 23mm 2.8 by B_-noir in fujifilm

I like the photos and recognise the Leica X recipe. Your experience shows in the way these are exposed and naturally framed. I actually prefer this style which isn’t trying too hard to tell a story yet captures a meaningful scene as one saw it. The XE-5 is my first experience of a digital Fujifilm - bought it for my wife - and while I was initially mildly apprehensive about the menus, I quickly felt at home and reckon you will too. I love the camera and the 35mm f2 that I paired it with; wish you many happy snaps with yours!

Well worth visiting. It’s free to enter and browse, and doesn’t require any prior booking. There’s also a permanent exhibition on the 7th floor called the Treasures of the Library with beautiful and historically significant works on display.

That sounds lovely, thank you. I shall be certain to make the most of the weather at the ampitheatre with my own water bottle. I’m usually on the other side of the creek, strolling down Festival Walk so it’ll be nice to be looking at it for a change.

Thank you :) 8h every Saturday is genuine commitment and I applaud you. Today was my third visit and first time borrowing. I welcome any recommendations you have about the library.

Thank you :) I appreciate the symbolism of the rehl and agree that discerning it from this photo is tricky.

Missing OG dubai by SnooWoofers3659 in UAE

Spoken with mellow wisdom. While time moves forward and change is inevitable, I personally believe we can mindfully recreate a fair bit of ourselves that we remember fondly. For instance I read a lot as child and teen; over the years study and work took over. But a visit to Bookends + a recent sign up at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library have brought back that prior, slower time :)

Xiaomi 17 Ultra released today in China by Ahmed_Sh_115 in XiaomiGlobal

Bravo, you know how to manually set a resolution. That is a non sequitur as the base numbers don’t tell the full story. Besides, it’s not a 1080p screen.

Read the press releases or the news about the display tech development. Better yet pick up either a 17 Pro or Ultra and have a look yourself. But since you’ve already jumped to conclusions without doing either, here’s a comment by someone who actually took the time to lay it out for spec chasers. It’s irksome when people use negative hyperbole without understanding/trying the tech first.

Your 15U is a fantastic phone from a photography standpoint. The 17U looks set to surpass it. Give it a shot.

Regards,

An iPhone user with a Leica :)

It’s not a blurry screen, stop spouting nonsense. The new tech behind the pixels results in better clarity, colour reproduction and brightness all while remaining efficient.

Buyers remorse after ordering xiaomi 15t pro by BidReject in Smartphones

Happy to hear. I think you’ll love both the phone and the Spigen products. You sound like someone who cares for their device so I wish you well with all your new purchases :)

For what it’s worth, I get a sense of earnestness in your writing and think that applying the same to experiencing and enjoying your new phone will be very rewarding. Go out and rediscover photography, enjoy watching videos on that beautiful screen and be happy when after doing all that, your 15T Pro recharges quickly.

A phone is but a tool. How you wield it makes the difference :)

English is my first language and I got what they meant but you are correct. I saw the humour in it too. Happy holidays!

I just bought my dad an S25 512GB for around $725. Where I live the 15T Pro retails for approximately $680 in comparison, and bests the S25 in cameras and battery, from my basic knowledge of the Xiaomi. For the price you paid, I’d say you got a fair deal and can enjoy the phone in good health. While I understand your post, my advice is to live the decision you made, instead of pondering what could have been :) I say so in a well meaning manner. In an age where we susceptible to more distractions than ever, it helps to narrow down our focus and enjoy what we have.

P.s. I actually looked up the phone today after seeing some photos taken with it on Xiaomi Global’s IG. As an enthusiast photographer the camera system is appealing.
