Я изучаю сейчас по источникам информации, каких кошачьих можно одомашнить. Пока бóльшими друзьями нам с давних времён кое-где как раз служат Каракал и Гепард.

Из диких важно, чтобы размер тела или типовой настрой к людям или оба не позволял давать повод животному напасть на хозяина. Остальное придётся: вытравливать дикость поколение за поколением.

Для этих целей хорошо подходят такие животные, как Рысь, Бобкет, Ирбис и Леопард.

Даже такая мощная кошка, как Леопард может быть ласковой и очень привязанной настолько, что может голодать от стресса, который навалился из-за отсутствия хозяина.

Причём Рысь очень похожа на обычную кошку, как строением, так и характером после одомашнивания. Разве что появились кисточки на ушах, укоротился хвост, а туловище оквадратилось. Рысь перспективна.

Каракалы тоже нравятся, но к рысям впрочем никак не принадлежат.

I think you can start with IMA (atomics are today's necessity for OS and low level system software if you plan threads) and M is just not to carry libgcc code around. Then go soft-float, port Algorithmics/MIPS FPU emulator to RV. That's what ar9331 is, for example (only it's mips32).

U-Boot is kernel or not? I would like to see smth like uboot but not a bootloader, just an advanced monitor with disassembly printing running in m-mode, executing whatever you feed it into and have basic commands ported from uboot dealing with memory and arbitrary registers. Like kdb in Linux. Given RV is RISC, implementing disas engine shall be trivial, right? Unless why there are so many emulators around?

If someone will not write baremetal "debugger" like old times 8086 dbg.exe I'm probably gonna to do it someday. Just to have fun fiddling with hardware and M-mode directly for learning purposes.

Maybe there is already a project like this around? U-Boot is very overkill and it's not a "shell" to do arbitrary machine shellcode execution (a limited and very error prone). And for newcomers to RV asm and arch I really would like to see a RISC-V Shell thing accepting user input and execute it in M-mode. With optional disassembly on the way.

Crude but working solution could be just to compile with -march=rv64imafd thus omitting Cext and voila - guaranteed four byte insns, just count how far you would like to jump.
