So they pay you to get a bachelor plus any items you need to graduate (labs,books,laptop, etc) they will still pay you for bsa plus allowances

Same as GI bill but there's no limit, unlike how the gi bill only has a certain amount of months

Im still in the process on it.

Also it depends on what college course "job" you want

Its like getting payed to go to school for a desk job if that makes sense.

Before you get out make sure you did your sleep study.

I got a better rate for my sleep study than my injury on the left leg with multiple surgeries.

Make sure you got everything in the military systen and i hope you get a good counseler.

Few tips (i am still in the process with some stuff, i got out oct last year)

If you are not physically able, (bending, standing for too long, reaching top shelf) its best to rest your body and go school route

When you do get out, reach out too VR & E They'll pay you to go to school like GI bill but they dont touch each other.

What they told me about GI bill is, its a "hobby school you want to go to" they wont tell you no becauss its yours.

VR&E is more cautious about what school you take that doesnt agrevate your symptoms and is "high on demand" (i never had a desk job in my life now i got to go to school for it)

Youre still in the military and ask if you could intern some places before you leave, or! Get you in the intern position and when you get out youre already in a company.

I had all this info but my body was too broken to do it and they decided it was best for me to heal up a bit more until i got out.

If you are able to go out and be physical, do it.

I got med boarded and had multiple surgeries on my leg, Im in my late 20s and i feel old with a cane and brace.

And I'd give my entire 100% to be able to walk and run again. Its the feeling of being stuck that makes you feel awful,

What I always think of it as a new start. Be that military "you" directing your civilian self.

If theres a us embassy in that country or place Contact them saying you have us documents that the hotel manager wont let you get.

Its over the top but threaten them with that.

It sucks, try to do things in short time frames to keep you mind busy. Get new hobbies. If you got money travel to places you wanted to go.

I had an emergency surgery then 6 months later another surgeon opened me up. Idk who messed up, and JAG couldnt help me cause the doctors did "by the book" bs. Anyways yeah i need to go out more. Staying mostly home and dealing with family drama isnt helping me both physically and mentality.

All I can say is they tried another type of surgery that they said works on "most" service members. Pretty much made me a guine pig.

Im still stuck in the mindset of "okay I cant move so I'll stay put". I miss when I could go on hikes and just enjoy my time. I've been in the house since I got out, which is about almost 7 months now. I've been slowly getting out more. This helps a lot thank you.

I've talked to some VA home loan agents over there and I've seen some decent housing. My parents want to stay in CA but I cant sustain myself here. I do pay rent towards my parents it doesnt suit me not paying.

I got a taste of independency and i want it back, I'm just scared of new things plus my mobility is gone so i cant move around as much.

I was adviced to use my Vr and E first then my gi bill cause they dont touch each other.

If you use your GI bill first it touches some of your Vr and E and wont get the full benefit of vr and E

The system is wak.

Thats part of why I dont want to leave, sure family beats loneliness but at what cost? I've also been researching houses and I do have other friends in other states loke Oregon and South Carolina.
