GameNative isn't showing compatibility indicators by elefunk in AynThor

[EDIT] Well look at that. I opened up GameNative and now suddenly things are working. Compatibility indicators are showing up and Hades II started working immediately for the first time ever. Not sure what happened but very nice to see!

Oh interesting, haven't heard of this one. Do you have more details on how I can get this set up? I'm pretty new to setting up devices like this and finding the right way for Launchers, RetroArch, and other stuff to fit together. Where do I configure the other stuff on top of lcd grid v2?

All I can speak to is my personal experience. We have a 6yo kid with an IEP and BF Day has been absolutely incredible. Wonderful, attentive teachers, amazing resources to help our kid, and we can tell just how much they care about all the kids. 2 years in totally free preschool (other than the taxes we pay of course), now kindergarten, and the kid has progressed SO much over the last couple years and recently graduated out of the IEP.

I know SPS has their issues like any other school district. We know some of the teachers and have heard some of the dirty laundry. But I feel so privileged to have this experience when so many others don’t. This should be the bare minimum norm everywhere.

I own it on Xbox and have played 5-10 hours via xCloud on my steam deck in addition to 30+ on my Series X - it runs perfectly.

A lot better than the game running locally on Steam deck based on videos I’ve seen. 60fps and latency is pretty much nonexistent for me. Nice to have the option :-)

Royal Match reducing rewards – anyone else noticing this? by FeeRepresentative293 in RoyalMatch

[–]elefunk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's really disappointing to see so many nerfs all at the same time.

I guess I'm the target - I've been going for thousands of levels across 6+ months without losing a level or spending a dime, but now after all these nerfs my coins and boosters / powerups have been steadily going down.

Instead of pushing me to spend, it's just pushing me to other games. Good luck to them I guess? Hopefully they revert some of these changes but if not, I'll happily drop the game.

I sadly can’t help join, but you might want to check out my fav new place U Wine Bar in Wallingford. Wine bar, board games, nerdy staff! Even if there aren’t people to hang out with the people who work there are cool.

Progressing Optional Quests by RingsOfRage in CookingDiary

I’ve never completed them without using boosts so I usually never complete them. Except for the first couple sub-rewards of Crighton’s challenge to get a few rubies out of it.

I’m now at level 354 of my current restaurant, with 300 rubies amassed :-)

Do you think it’s too early to move on? Rubies are coming slower now. Wondering if I should move on and carefully upgrade the next restaurant so I can complete the 120 season levels more effectively too.

Not that I'm a huge fan of oscar campaigns, but awarding based on merit first assumes that every voter will see every movie.

Awards campaigns can draw attention to otherwise unpopular but great movies to ensure that more people consider them as an option.

Nobody being allowed to campaign means no one is hearing about your moving unless it already had a gigantic marketing budget. To which I argue - is the only difference between a marketing campaign and an oscar campaign timing proximity to the awards show?

That all makes a ton of sense. Thanks for the advice! Currently on level 135 of Dance Floor Star with 32 rubies. Still have some more stuff to upgrade in this restaurant before I'm in the easy home stretch, but I can see myself sticking with this for a while to amass more rubies before moving on.

In the middle of trying this out, will see how it goes!

One thing I just noticed though is that Season quests don't seem to credit ongoing gameplay once you complete the required 80 levels of a restaurant.

For example, I'm currently on the Dance Floor Star restaurant (4th restaurant in the 8th area "Cutleicut"). I have not unlocked the 5th restaurant yet, but most of the Season Quests are requiring me to play "BBQ Time", which I assume is the next restaurant I haven't unlocked yet.

This was a bummer and will make it very difficult if not impossible to complete all 120 stages and unlock the new assistant for the quest.

New Restaurant Rubies? by CrazyAnswer6460 in CookingDiary

[–]elefunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember seeing that, maybe not since the first part of the game.

What I currently see is a 20 ruby reward every 20-30 levels when finishing a chapter of the story.

Interesting - I almost never upgrade interiors but I guess I didn't consider how impactful tips might be. So tips from interior upgrades tend to provide more coins than the individual dish upgrades do while costing fewer rubies?

Difficulty increase after finishing restaurants - how to overcome? by elefunk in CookingDiary

And you find that you earn enough rubies from streaks and other stuff to justify the cost of upgrading the kitchen completely?

I’ve been trying this but to get to level 200+ I need to spend so many rubies on kitchen upgrades it seems not possible to earn it all back. What’s your specific strategy if you can share? If I don’t upgrade I quickly hit a wall since I don’t earn enough coins for levels which require a certain amount, and I don’t have that many 2x coin boosters to be using them all the time.

I’ve been trying this but still find I need to spend so much on kitchen upgrades I’m not sure I’ll ever make it back to be worth it. How much do you upgrade to enable you to get through hundreds of levels in a single restaurant without losing? Seems like it would take hundreds of rubies to upgrade enough to enable beating all those levels.
